CHAPTER NOTEBOOK

A family’s strength following the loss of a loved one in
an impaired driving crash has led to a partnership with
MADD Calgary and Tsuut’ina Nation. In December,
the Chapter partnered with Tsuut’ina Police and
Emergency Services for a special evening that included
a Project Red Ribbon awareness event and an outdoor
Candlelight Sharing Circle where people spoke of their
loved ones and shared some of their stories.

MADD Edmonton and Area was involved again this year
in the Leduc Candy Cane Checkstop on December 7.
It was another great success raising close to $800 for
the Chapter to use on programs and services in the
community. Thanks to everyone who volunteered for

Rumbolt has organized the Christmas Parade in her
community for the past 12 years. Citizens from Mary’s
Harbour and surrounding communities gather to watch
the parade. This year Jackie handed out MADD Canada
materials including red ribbons and wallet cardholders.

MADD Trinity Bay has had long time support from
businesses and social clubs in the Clarenville area.

MADD Charlotte County Chapter members and St.
George NB RCMP participated in the annual Project
Red Ribbon launch police checkpoints. The rainy
weather did not dampen the spirits of this cheerful
group as they gather under their umbrellas.
