About Oringer

Oringer has been a part of on-site ice cream making for decades.
We understand the challenges in a competitive marketplace. Our
experience creating superior variegates, flavor bases, purees,
sherbet and water ice bases, waffle cone mixes and add-in dry
mixes allows us to meet all of your needs, making us a primary
partner to your success.

Besides being one of the largest private manufacturers of caramel in
the United States, our in-house Research and Development team
has created a wide product line, ranging from buttery caramel to
wild cherry with black Bing cherry halves; creamy milk chocolate to
the darkest sweet chocolate fudge; smooth marshmallow to fresh-
shelled taste peanut butter. Our line also includes classic fruit flavors
such as blueberry and strawberry, and anytime tropical favorites of
mango and orange-pineapple.

Oringer’s proprietary technologies enable us to guarantee absolute
control over the final product, ensuring strict product tolerances and
high quality on a batch to batch and case to case basis. We have
long-standing success introducing innovative products – our No
Sugar Added (NSA) and low fat variegates pack the same burst of
flavor as our regular formulas.

We offer a wide selection of packaging including #10 cans, a
variety of portion pouch packs, ½ and 1 gallon jugs, squeeze bottles
and ready-to-use wide mouth jars. We are certified organic by QAI
and certified kosher by the Orthodox Union.

Both of the following products use 1-1.5 quarts with 2.5 gallons of mix to produce a custard or French
vanilla ice cream.

                                                   SHERBET
A sherbet is a frozen dairy dessert. Sugar content is much higher than ice cream (up to 50%) and it is at
least twice as acidic. The product is therefore much sweeter and tarter than ice cream. Standards of
identity include total milk solids of 5% and 2% maximum milk fat solids. Fruit juice will be 2% minimum as
citrus, 6% minimum as berry, and 10% minimum as other flavors. Overrun will be no more than 50%.
Handling:
- Mix all of your ingredients together thoroughly
- When flavoring using real fruit, add purees at 15-20% of your formula
- Place product in your cooler and let marinade for a minimum of 4 hours – no less. Overnight is always

A sorbet is a non-dairy frozen dessert. Typically considered a high quality dessert treat, it consists of the

cream.

into the dipping cabinet at a temperature of 15°F.
