ABOUT STRATIS Doyle Sails proprietary sail membrane STRATIS was developed in 2001 when Doyle Sails New Zealand realised that it was time for a new generation of sails. It was apparent that across the industry there was a need for lighter, longer lasting sails. From performance racing sails with higher durability to super yacht sails that required the physical structure of high modulus fibres to take the huge loads that were generated, through to cruising yachts that simply wanted lighter sails that were easier to handle, it was timefor something new. The STRATIS plant is based at the 7,000 sqm Doyle Sails New Zealand production facility. The factory has two production tables with multiple fibre laying machines and laminators on each production bed allowing a full range of sails to be produced from the smallestdinghies to the largest super yachts. Lighter,Faster,Stronger... 100%Customisable. Lowest stretch, longest lifemembranes. World ‘BETTER ENGINEEREDSAILS’ -Alex Thomson;Hugo Boss class innovation and technology. Custom printingfor weightsavings. 100%CustomMade The Stratis process starts with EVERY sail being structurally engineered with the appropriate fibre for the application of the sail. One of the big benefits of Stratis is its ability to laminate more fibre types then any of the other sailmakers. This ranges from our highest modulus Carbon through to our Polyester range for small cruising boats; there really is a fibre or fibre blend for every application. The outside surface is chosen with the client, as Doyle has a huge selection of weights, colours and surfaces dependent on the type of sail and type of sailingthe sail will be used for. The key components when developing Stratis has been twofold, firstly the quality of the lamination had to be unsurpassable. Doyle’s reputation has been built on its earliest catch phrase, “Better Engineered Sails” so Stratis needed to stand by that. Secondly, each sail is 100% designed and engineered for the customer's yacht and application. Every time the Stratis machine runs a path of fibres it’sentirely custom made to that sail. We are continually developing our laminated sail products in terms of design, materials and manufacture. Our research department continues to experiment with new surfaces, fibres, adhesives and techniques with the aim of offering our clients the best possible product while our design department uses the latest computer technology and design tools to develop shapes and structures for fasterand more innovative sails.

BUILDINGTHE RIG/DECKMODEL Detailed drawings are used to model running rigging, sails attachments, and all adjustable rig elements such as the forestay arrangement and mast jack system. The rig model incorporates the correct mast material and construction properties, so that the accurate weight, compression, bending and torsional stiffness are reproduced. The mast and rigging are tuned following the procedure indicated by the docktune sheet, reproducing the actual rig tensions andprebends. HIGHPERFORMANCE The global shift towards Doyle Sails in recent times has been revolutionary. Where there was once a belief that to be fast there was only one option, there is now a growing movement to be powered by Doyle and seek the alternative. The performance of race sails is key to the success of any yacht and here at Doyle Sails, we are experts in high performance sailing, taking pride in showcasing this through our many Maxi 72 ‘Proteus’ 2017 successful campaigns. We consistently see our Grand Prix race yachts sitting at the top of the leaderboard including: Comanche (100ft Supermaxi); Info Track (100ft Supermaxi), Momo (Maxi 72World Champion), Proteus (Maxi 72 #2),and Bella Mente (Maxi 72 #3).We are proud to have some of our most high profilesailorsinvolved in these campaigns. Doyle Sails has become a leading force worldwide in Grand Prix race sails, from foiling Moths all the way through to the most high-profile Super Maxi's. One of Doyle's biggest strengths in the Grand Prix sector has been the growing team of experienced, passionate sailors that see the projects through from concept to competition. In fact, many of Doyle's innovations from a concep- tual standpoint come from the in-house team of world class sailorswho are at the coal face of grand prix sailingeveryday. ‘Infotrack have sailed under North Sails for all our racing career and this year in 2018, we have decided to give Doyle Sails the opportunity to provide inventory due to a few factors. 1- Doyle have developed a new ’cableless’ sail system which is very interesting as well as lighter. 2 - Doyle, via Richard Bouziad, have reviewed much of our inventory with the sole motivation of betterment or questioning the questionable. 3 - Last but not least, you get a lot of ‘bang for your buck’ from Doyle. We have bought 6 new sails as well as other performance enhancing items and at very reasonable prices. The Doyle team, led by Mike Sanderson and David Duff were just passionate, focused and very intelligent. Richard was all over evey area with hands on involvementand now having Chris Nicholson drivingthe Australianend, itmakes for comfortable commercial decision making. It is also great to work with GREAT blokes’. - Jo Akacich,SkipperInfotrack “Comanche has been able to realise more of her potential with the addition of Doyle’s cable-less sails, and I recommend this exciting technology for any size boat. The big jibs and the A3 are very power- ful and yet significantly lighter than I ever expected, increasing accel- eration with greater righting moment available. The sails’ ability to hold their shape at all angles with virtually no luff sag is astounding in such big sails. We have reduced rig load dramatically with these cableless sails and our performance has improved in all conditions, particularly light air. Our new Doyle mainsail is exceptionally high quality and the reduction in permanent weight aloft gives immediate gains in all winds.” Jim Cooney,Comanche Doyle Mainsail, Cableless J1, J 0 &A3 Comanche: 100ft Supermaxi - Photo Credit: Kyle Langford 2018 GRAND PRIX HALL OFFAME HugoBoss IMOCA 60 BellaMente Maxi 72 Aquarius 56m RH/Dykstra Charal IMOCA 60 Proteus Maxi 72 Zen TP52 Figaro One Design Foiling Monohull Vesper Maxi 72 All SMB TP52 Comanche 100ft Supermaxi Sail GP yachts J Ichi Ban TP52 Infotrack 100ftSupermaxi Shamrock Class Moneypenny RP69 Leopard 3 100ftSupermaxi Hetairos 66.9m Baltic/RP Ran Fast 40+
