American actress and singer Anne Jacqueline
01 Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982 in
Brooklyn, New York.
She is of Irish, French, English and German
02 ancestry. Her surname originates in England.
When she was six years old, her family moved
to Millburn, New Jersey, where she grew up.
She wished to be a nun during her childhood,
03 being raised as a Roman Catholic with really
strong values. “When I was 11, I felt like I got
a calling from God to be a nun,” she said.
