26th Annual Gala
Dear school parents and guests
of this year’s SJA auction:
It’s hard to believe that the first “Mission
Impossible” movie with Tom Cruise debuted 27
years ago in 1996. At that time I was an associate
pastor here at St. Joan of Arc parish with Fr.
Roman as pastor. I never imagined that one day
I would be the pastor of this parish attending a
school auction that has this movie as its theme.
Impossible? I guess not.
What is actually impossible?
Two thousand years ago, when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary
and invited her to undertake a most unique mission in human history,
the angel assured her that nothing would be impossible for God. Since
that moment in time, the challenge has been to believe what the angel
proclaimed.
Here at St. Joan of Arc School, I would like to think that we have a
privileged role in helping our students believe those words of the angel,
that nothing is impossible for God. The event that brings us together on
March 18, is an important means that assists us achieving that goal so
that our students can embrace the unique mission that God has given
each of them.
Thank you for your support of our school and of this year’s auction.
Together we can make a future filled with possibilities for our students,
our church and our world.

It is an honor to welcome you to the 2023
Saint Joan of Arc School Gala Auction and Dinner,
Mission Possible. I would like to extend a sincere
thank you to all of our donors, families, and
community businesses for your support and for
the auction items donated that will contribute
to the success of this evening. Your generosity is
greatly appreciated.
Tonight, we come together once again to support our initiatives,
students, and teachers. The proceeds from this evening will contribute to
the continued improvement and support of the educational experiences
of our students and support the amazingly dedicated staff. One of the
greatest assets of Saint Joan of Arc School is its caring and dedicated
teachers. Our school theme for this year is Together, We Can Do Difficult
Things hence Mission Possible!
Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who have generously
given their time, talents, and treasure to make this fundraiser possible.
The Auction Committee has done another phenomenal job planning,
creating, and bringing this wonderful event to life for us. We hope that
you enjoy this lovely evening that celebrates and supports Saint Joan of
Arc Catholic School. Thank you for being a part of this worthwhile event.

Raising Paddles is a fundraising
consulting group that helped over 150
organizations raise over $53 million dollars
in 2022. They believe in vesting time in
an organization and learning about their
mission. When it’s time for fundraising,
they can speak from the heart about
your goals and help you to succeed and
surpass your goals.
Shannon Eason, your Fundraising Ambassador tonight, is an
International Champion Auctioneer with over 35 years of experience.
Her energy, excitement and enthusiasm is contagious and she’s
anxious to share it with St. Joan of Arc Catholic School.
We want to thank Raising Paddles for partnering with us this year
and for their generous donation of the Mexico trip to our Live Auction.

Derryk Madsen, will prepare
and cook a 8-course meal for
up to 12 people in your home.
Derryk trained with some of
the best chefs in the country;
including James Beard Award
winners and Michelin Star
holders like Wolfgang Puck,
Terrance Brennan, Mindy
Segal, and Michael Kornick.
Showcasing luxury ingredients
(lobster, caviar, foie gras,etc)
throughout the menu, Derryk will craft a unique five-star
dining experience.
Previous years’ menus included such offerings as
Deconstructed Beef Wellington, Australian Lamb with
Roasted Garlic Flan, Muscovy Duck Salad, Lobster Risotto
with Melted Leeks and Fried Basil, and Derryk’s famous
Peanut Butter Ice Cream.
This includes a full kitchen and wait staff so you and your
quests can enjoy what is sure to be an unforgettable
evening.
