Welcome to GPPS Shanghai Conference 17 On behalf of the Global Power and Propulsion Society Executive Committee and the Conference Local Organizing committee, I am pleased to welcome you to Shanghai, P.R.China, for this International GPPS Conference. The GPPS Conference aims to bring together researchers in industry, academia, and governments to hear the latest developments in turbomachinery technologies. The event will cover the broad topics Meeting future power and of Global Technologically Driven Innovations. This conference is an excellent opportunity for you to meet with researchers from propulsion requirements all over the world in general, asia countries in particular, to explore opportunities for networking, collaboration, sharing of technical information and the building of trusting relationships nationally and internationally. through research, innovation, Shanghai, the largest city in China, is located on the east coast and known as the center for business and finance in China. Still, industry is its major backbone. Much of the city’s industrial production has moved towards advanced manufacturing in development and dissemination recent years, and high-tech industries are now a major feature of the city’s primary sector. On this occasion of the GPPS Asia and Middle East Conference 17, I am looking forward to meeting you in this great city of Shanghai, and I wish us all a superb experience at the GPPS Conference and a memorable stay in Shanghai. Dr. Jinzhang Feng Chairman, GPPS Shanghai 17 President, AECC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co., Ltd 1
