RECENT works My most recent works start from an unconscious need to create an autobiographical painting without my presence in it, portraying people or elements that belong so much to me that they become part of my past and experience and of myself. During my teenage years, the American subculture of the 90s and grunge have definitely shaped my identity, in particular the figure of Kurt Cobain has been a real obsession. After many years, it seemed natural for me to tell and transform this story into a series of works. A hidden and often faceless obsession, Kurt Cobain can be represented in various forms, whole body, in one detail or turned from the back, but never explicitly recognisable. The painting represents a precise subject, but also a personal memory, an autobiographical work or a story told by chapters. An excuse to paint.
