CONSERVE FOR TOMORROW Did you know that the first Québec wildlife infrastructure of Ducks Unlimited was built within parc national de Plaisance? It was in 1973 that everything began, and the many magnificent wetlands we see in the park today grew out of these first efforts. Over time, some of the control structures became in need of TLC, which led to approximately 10 ponds dating from the 1980s being completely restored. Can you spot them while exploring the Petite and Grande Presqu’île? This was a wonderful initiative of Ducks Unlimited in collaboration with the park, the ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs, the Fondation de la faune and Environment Canada.
