Additional Information How much experience do I need to participate in this workshop? Our workshops are designed for students who are comfortable dancing at an intermediate level. In order to get the most out of your time with us, we recommend at least 1 year of dance experience before signing up. We don’t require any previous singing experience. Even though I dance and sing, does it matter if I am stronger in one area? No. It absolutely does not matter. Our aim is to further your development as a performer. Coming to us with things to work on makes you a perfect candidate. How will you determine the 3 class groups? We divide the entire company into 3 smaller groups based on age. Every day starts with a full company warm-up across all age groups. What should I wear? We recommend casual dance or fitness wear; leotards, tights, track pants, shorts, t-shirts and singlets are all great. The key is to be comfortable. Please wear sensible footwear; jazz shoes, dance sneakers and trainers are all good choices. Do I need to bring anything with me? Just your great energy and enthusiasm! We also recommend bringing lunch, snacks and plenty of water from home so you can make the most out of your breaks. Will there be regular breaks and time for lunch? Yes. Each day will have two 10-15 minute drink breaks as well as a 30 minute lunch break in the middle of the day. Can I skip the warm up in the morning and just start at 10:45am? No. Attendance to the morning warm up is important for your own dance safety and as a part of our effort to prevent injury. If you are running late, please call us on 02 9746 0848 and let us know so we don’t mark you as absent. Facilities – Personal Belongings There are a number of signs clearly indicating the location of the male and female toilets at each studio. Keep your personal belongings close by and please try not to bring any valuables with you. You will be permitted to bring your bag with you in to each class. Are mobile phones allowed in class? Mobile phones are permitted to be carried with your things but must be switched off during class. If you’d like to film parts of the class, don’t worry we’ll be giving you plenty of opportunities to do so. Supervision All students will be fully supervised during class and all break times. If your child needs to go off site in order to purchase food and drinks, please indicate your permission on the registration form. We can not be held responsible for your child’s welfare if they leave the workshop venue. Participants can be picked up at 4:00pm each day. If running late, please call us on 02 9746 0848 to let us know.
