No person shall be qualified for appointment who has, within the three years immediately preceding his or her appointment to that board, been an employee of an assessor's office. Notwithstanding the above, a person shall be eligible for nomination for membership on an assessment appeals board if, at the time of the nomination, he or she is a current member of an assessment appeals board. Documentation of qualifying experience of appeals board members shall be filed with the Clerk of the Board. Reimbursement: $262.50 each per diem per meeting is authorized. Reyes National Seashore; a representative nominated by each of the following: Audubon Canyon Ranch, Bolinas Rod & Boat Club, College of Marin, Point Blue (formerly the Point Reyes Bird Observatory), and Seadrift Homeowners Association; plus 3 members appointed by the Board of Supervisors as follows: 1 from the community of Bolinas, 1 from the community of Stinson Beach and 1 At-Large rep. These 3 representatives should reside in Marin County, but need not be county residents if a non-resident's expertise would be beneficial to the council's work. Qualifications: General knowledge of Bolinas Lagoon and the ecological, recreational and economic functions it serves, and of the lagoon’s relationship to the communities of Bolinas and Stinson Beach. Ability to be an effective liaison between the County of Marin and its residents regarding the restoration and management of Bolinas Lagoon. MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION: Member Description: Twenty member Commission; Ten appointed by Board of Supervisors, Ten appointed by County Superintendent of Schools. Of ten appointees of Board and Superintendent: two each designated for consumers of child care and development services, two each child care service providers, twp each community reps., two each public agency officials, two each At-Large appointments. However, state law requires that the Local Planning Council be made up of child care consumers (20%), child care providers (20%), community representatives (20%), public agency representatives (20%), and discretionary (20%). Reimbursement: Consumer and provider representatives who are licensed family child care providers or center-based teachers may receive a stipend per meeting.
