To help keep trails and parks enjoyable for everyone, including pups and park-goers, the Park District launched the “Be A Pup Pro” public information campaign urging dog owners to be respectful, follow dog rules, and share parks with others. #PupPro Memorial Day

To reduce fire risks, the Park District grazes approximately 65 percent of parklands with cattle, goats, and sheep throughout the year. Grazing cattle play an important role in wildfire protection as “Four-Hoofed Firefighters” that reduce flammable grass and brush in parks. Halloween
