We gather the information from the instructors and coaches and place it into our magazine. Typos and errors are possible even with proofing attempts. We include the contact information so that you can call the instructor or coach directly. Instructors and coaches as well as the Building Use Supervisors sometimes must make changes after the magazine has gone to print. PACE YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES 4 PULASKI PLAY DATES FOR PRESCHOOLERS This is a continuation of the playdates that began in September; if you registered then there is no need to register again. For new people who want to join now, please read the following. Bring your little ones and let them get aquainted with the school setting while playing with others their own age. PACE is offering play dates, the third Friday of each month, for FREE. This opportunity is open to everyone in the Pulaski School District. Pre-registraion is required, but you can come and go as you want during our “open-house” type set up. Perfect chance for grandma or grandpa to play with their grand-children in a safe and organized environment. Guest artists and other District staff may stop in to visit with you too. There will be a snack available for the children during each play date. Please do not bring children who are ill. PACE reserves the right and has the responsiblity to send unruly and ill children home. TOT & ME DANCE CLASS NEW CLASS Children will learn the basic steps of ballet/tap, work on flexibility, balance, enhance gross motor coordination and listening skills through music and dance with the help of Mom, Dad or an adult caregiver. There will be a short performance for all parents, family and friends on the last day of the program. Please wear a leotard or stretchy pants with tights or socks. Warm ups may begin 10 minutes prior to class around the edges of the gym. Instructors will be from Tri-County Gymnastics out of Green Bay. Optional day, for all classes, at Tri-County Gym will be set near the end of the class. BEGINNERS Children who are really excited to learn gymnastics but have little or no experience; ages 4-10. It is suggested you take this class twice before moving to Intermediate, or have the Instructor’s permission. 6 PACE YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES Clay Explorations: Pottery Class for Kids Do you love to work with clay? Students will create a different clay project each week. They will have a chance to learn the basic methods of handbuilding—coiling, pinching, building with slabs, and sculpting—as well as what goes into making bowls, mugs, containers, and sculptural art pieces. Students will have a choice of several colors to paint their pottery as well. All work will be fired and returned within 2 weeks of the final class. Space is very limited. Sign up today! PACE YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES 7 CHILD CARE/BABY-SITTING COURSE Baby-sitting is a serious job, which demands a strong sense of responsibility. Students in this class learn techniques as well as safety and emergency procedures. All students will be required to do homework and attend ALL classes in order to complete the class. Each participant who successfully completes this program will receive a Certificate of Completion which will need to be picked up at the PACE office approximately two weeks after your class has been completed. PACE YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES 10 Pulaski World Series of Hitting Come join the Pulaski High School Coaching Staff and Players to develop the skills to be a great hitter! Our staff will work closely with each individual player on the mental and physical approach to becoming the next Bryce Harper, Aaron Judge, Jose Altuve, or Christian Yelich! All boys will go through the same drills our varsity baseball players use to become a more successful hitter. Beside the great station work, each player will be given video analysis along with exit speed data using a radar gun. Please bring your own bat and helmet. Tuesday Night Sessions (6) run from 3 different time slots: 5:45-6:30, 6:30-7:15 & 7:15-8:00 at the Pulaski Middle School. (Please select 1. Please arrive to be there 5-10 minutes before start time) Dates: January 8, 15, 22, & February 5, 12, 19. No class on January 29th. Cost is $30 per athlete. Each session is open to any age from 3rd grade through 8th grade. To ensure a great experience with trained coaches, we will have a tight cap of 20 per session. So it is first come, first serve at each time slot. The beauty of our system of hitting is that all hitters age 5-18 will be using the same drills and progressions in developing a great rotational swing. The week of the participants age they may participate in class for free on 2 days. We will celebrate as follows: March 4 - 7--80’s decade and on up; March 11 - 14--70’s decade; March 18 - 22--60’s decade; and March 25 - 28--50’s decade and earlier. 13 CHILDREN’S SWIM LESSONS Our staff is certified in CPR, First Aid, and Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Parents are welcome to watch lessons from the bleachers. Children 5 and older are asked to use the appropriate changing room. NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED IN LOCKER ROOMS. Parent/Tot: Ages 6 months to 3 years, parent accompanies child in water. Pre-School Aquatics: Ages 4 - 5 years, no parent accompanies child. Levels 1-6: Child must be 6 years old. Children are registered by skill. Please call the pool with questions pertaining to appropriate level placement. **please note: skill levels offered varies by class time Lifeguard Training Class (LGT): Participants must be 15 years old by the start of class. Class fee includes certification in Lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid. @Book may be downloaded from pool website or purchased at American Red Cross. Minimum of 4 people to run the class. PACE has offered piano lessons for many years. Mrs. Bev Heling, the piano instructor, has trained hundreds of local pianists. Her number is 715-758-8600. The wage paid to a teacher is negotiable between the teacher and parent. Parent/guardians interested in receiving this list may call the PACE Office (920) 822-6050 and one will be emailed to you. The list is also online at www.pulaskipace.org PULASKI COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT CENSUS Anyone who is new to our district, has moved or changed addresses, or has added people to their household should complete our school district census form online at: www.pulaskipace.org. Please complete the form and update when necessary and return it to any school office. FACILITY RENTALS The district recognizes that our buildings can and should be available for the public to use. Nominal fees may be charged for use of school facilities. Call Courtney in the Facilities Department Office 822-6080 for the most recent updates to this online process. LOOKING FOR NEW TEACHERS AND CLASSES Can someone coordinate a GPS Geo-Caching program right here in Pulaski?
