PERFECTING THE PHEV PARAGON Its mix of family-friendly SUV practicality, up to 32-mile electric range and a proper fuel tank for longer trips mean that the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is being hailed by some commentators as the closest yet to perfect transport. A SUITABLY ENHANCED SOUND SYSTEM
For many travellers, top quality sound is fundamental to overall driving pleasure. Alpine,
one of the world’s most respected manufacturers of in-car audio equipment, utilised
their soundproofed audio chamber and sophisticated sound measuring equipment to
analyse the Outlander PHEV’s acoustics. Now the GX5h benefits from the integration
of a 420W Alpine audio system upgrade which encompasses silk dome tweeters,
16.5cm midrange drivers, a 20cm subwoofer and a 6-channel amplifier with digital
sound processor specifically tuned for the Outlander’s interior. The result? An even
frequency response giving a wonderfully clear and natural sound.

AND A BRIGHTER OUTLOOK INSIDE When you’re relaxing at home there are two elements which, above all others, define your living space – seating and lighting, so in the GX5h that’s where we’ve concentrated our efforts. Both front and rear seats are heated and dressed in sumptuous, generously padded leather from one of the most environmentally efficient, technologically advanced manufacturers in the world, and these are complimented by matching trim on the dash, doors and steering wheel, as well as on the floor mats. The enhanced LED interior lighting package is a cool, moody blue, with matching puddle lights beneath the front doors, whilst an additional twin USB charging socket for the rear seats completes this vehicle’s practical package.
