Bart Tessler is a veteran News and Talk programming executive who has launched
and managed highly successful news networks and talk programs. Most recently,
Bart created Westwood One News in 2015 and has overseen its growth to over 950
affiliates, while winning numerous industry awards for its programming and
coverage in just its first few years.
During his tenure at Westwood One, Tessler has been involved in a managerial
capacity with all the major radio networks. He helped originate and then
launched a new NBC News Radio; supervised Fox News Radio; and managed
relationships with ABC News Radio, CBS Radio News, CNBC, and CNN Radio.
Tessler has produced coverage of major news events across the country and
around the world, including from 20 national political conventions; Presidential
primaries and Election Nights; the Reagan-Gorbachev summits in Reykjavik,
Bart Tessler Geneva, Moscow and Washington; the funeral of Emperor Hirohito in Tokyo; the
EVP, News and Talk Programming bicentennial celebration in Paris; launch of the space shuttle in Cape Canaveral;
and much more. News teams under his direction have been winners of the major
industry awards, including multiple Peabody Awards, Edward R Murrow Awards,
and National Headliner, International Radio Festival, RFK Journalism, Sigma Delta
Chi, Golden Mike and others, many of which were also awarded to Tessler.Management
Kevin DeLany, VP of News and Talk Programming for Westwood
One, is a veteran producer and news manager. Kevin has
supervised coverage of the major news stories of the last several
decades, including the 9/11 terror attack; two wars in the
Middle East; and the tragic mass shootings in schools from
Columbine to Santa Fe, as well as at the Pulse nightclub in
Orlando and the attack at a concert in Las Vegas. During his
three-decade career in production and news management,
Kevin has covered the Democratic and Republican national
Kevin DeLany political conventions in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016, and is
VP, News and Talk Programing planning 2020 coverage now.Westwood One News Correspondents
Our full time beat reporters at the White House, Capitol Hill, in NY, LA, Dallas and at the scene
of breaking news and major events are dedicated to radio and the interests and needs of
your stations. They’re not TV producers or web reporters temporarily assigned to radio.
NY Bureau Chief Steve Kastenbaum came to Westwood One from CNN where he has worked as a
producer, reporter and CNN Newsource correspondent out of the network’s New York bureau. He’s won
more than a dozen local and national awards for his reporting, including the 2013 Edward R. Murrow Award
for Reporting: Hard News and the 2013 Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Use of Sound.
White House Correspondent Bob Costantini joined Westwood One from NBC News Radio. His career includes
reporting for Fox News Channel, Tribune Television, and CNN Radio. He has covered the White House and
Capitol Hill, Supreme Court, and the political game. Bob has also covered many other major stories out of
Washington over the years, and was in the Roosevelt Room at the White House when President Clinton
made his famous finger-wagging denial about Monica Lewinsky.Westwood One News Correspondents LA correspondent Jim Roope came to Westwood One as a veteran broadcast journalist. He spent 13 years as the West Coast Correspondent for CNN Radio, where he was the recipient of 12 Golden Mic and three Peabody Awards for excellence in journalism. Before joining CNN, Jim worked in Los Angeles as a general assignment reporter, news director, and operations manager. Dallas Correspondent Clayton Neville serves as the Texas and Southeast correspondent for Westwood One News. His assignments have brought him to the scene of recent school shootings in Parkland, Florida and Santa Fe, Texas. He was also in Alabama covering the scandal and senate election campaign of Roy Moore. Coverage of a string of Texas tornadoes in 2015 gained Clayton statewide and national recognition. Capitol Hill Correspondent Linda Kenyon is a veteran broadcast journalist with more than 25 years of experience. She has served as a Capitol Hill Correspondent, White House Correspondent, Anchor, General Assignment Reporter, Writer and Editor at three national news networks including the Associated Press and Salem Radio. Linda has covered four presidential administrations and several election cycles including political conventions and inaugurations. In addition, she has served as a member of the Executive Committee of Correspondents on Capitol Hill.
