In subsequent years, Dino with his
daughter Rosella at his side along with
the Sidi design team, have created some

in cycling footwear. Way back in 1973
Sidi revolutionized the cycling shoe
by incorporating the adjustable cleat
position. In 1985 Sidi invented the world’s
first dedicated MTB shoe and followed that
by producing the first cycling shoe with a
mono-filament Boa buckle. More recently
Sidi debuted the Adjustable Heel Security
System, allowing riders to customize shoe fit

The third aspect of assessment for the athlete is the shape of the shell, flat or round. Flat shells are for activity directed more towards optimising all
situations, and therefore more appropriate to the stages of training and athletic preparation, rather than medium and long distances. Round shells,

on the other hand, have an “edgier” character which is preferable for activity consisting of continuous bursts of speed, aimed at the more aggressive
athlete and training sessions or races over short and medium distances.
We’ve designed our saddles firstly by assessing the particular features of the individual sporting disciplines thus providing athletes with an initial
direction: Road, Off Road, Chrono, Track and Triathlon; then identifying specific variants for some of them.
