Dr. H. Darrel Darby developed the first postoperative shoe in Hunting-
ton, WV in 1985. The starting point for what is now an international
group of companies. The DARCO products can be found world-wide

was extended recently to include Great Britain.
With years of expertise, DARCO has earned the respect and loyalty

Healing shoes are indispensable in fortifying positive surgical
results and in wound care applications. Features such as the square
toe design, low profile height, wide entry and distal Meta-Shank,
make the DARCO healing shoes extremely versatile. The shoes can
be used for a wide range of applications from postoperative care
to diabetic foot care. Our broad product range ensures that DARCO
can provide the optimum support for the needed therapy.
Interchangeable Insoles Available
Most of our healing shoes can be fitted with a modular DARCO
insole. Whether it’s a classic healing shoe, or off-loading shoe desig-
ned for short or long-term therapies, the interchangeable insoles
offer a clear advantage. Coupled with a proper fit, these features
ensures optimal pressure relief and supports the patient’s mobility

The modular walker from DARCO successfully immobilises
the foot with simultaneous mobilisation for the patient. Three

It’s used for postoperative fixation as a backing splint with
a supportive insole, thus ensuring the proper treatment for talipes
equinus and injury prophylaxis and results in improved swelling
reduction. Used as a lower leg orthosis, it is a modular alternative
