YOGA Yoga will help improve flexibility and range of motion, increase strength without the use of weights, release stress and tension in the physical body and mind, leave you with an overall sense of relaxation and well-being. Swim Lessons Registration Dates for Session 2 September 8 —Orange Residents Open Registration—September 15 Please be aware, the instructors and participants will not be wearing masks during lessons. Students will be working closely together and for safety reasons will not able to maintain social distance. If an exposure occurs, you will be notified, class will be canceled under the guidance of the Health Director, and credits for future registrations will be applied to the household. Parents may not stay on the deck during lessons. Please wear a mask when bringing your children to their lessons. Divers can have little or no experience. New divers will focus on very basic dives, as well as the approach and hurdle. Experienced divers will be adding new dives and more difficulty to their skills. Proper placement of your swimmer is very important. At each level your child should be challenged, but not overwhelmed. There are specific minimum skills that your child should possess on the first day of their class. If they are unable to complete them, they will be moved to a lower level if there is space available, or credited for a future session. If you are unsure at what level to enroll your children, please ask at the time of registration. The Orange Park and Recreation Department has two “unlimited use” memberships available for purchase; a Pool membership and a Fitness Center membership. • Memberships may be purchased in the Park and Recreation Office from 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m, Monday - Friday. • Proof of residency is required for residents (i.e. - license, tax bill). A photo of each person receiving a pass is needed at the time of registration. • Senior (65 years and over) memberships are free to Orange residents but must be renewed annually at the Park and Recreation office. Proof of age is required. • Members must abide by the rules and regulations set by the Park and Recreation Commission and posted beside the fitness room entrance, on the pool deck and the front bulletin board. IMPORTANT • The Town of Orange is not responsible for valuables lost or stolen from Town properties. • Memberships are non-refundable. Documented medical excuses may be reviewed, and accepted, by the Park and Recreation Commission on a case by case basis. At this time, pool use and Pool Memberships are for Orange Residents only. The Membership rate is $150 single person / $225 family of 2 / and $30 for each additional family member. The Orange Fitness Center is located in the High Plains Community Center across from the Park and Recreation office. The room is furnished with a variety of equipment designed to meet all your fitness needs. The cardiovascular equipment includes 5 stationary bikes, 2 rowing machines, 3 elliptical machines, 2 stair climbers and 4 treadmills. The Fitness Center is fully stocked with over 900 pounds of Olympic free weights and dumbbells ranging in weight from 1 to 90 pounds. There is a squat rack, a smith machine, cable row/lat pull down machine, a hyperextension machine, a free standing leg press, an abdominal machine, Cybex torso rotation machine, and three adjustable benches for incline lifting and curls. The center also features strength training equipment including an eight station Universal Gym with a leg press, military press, bench press, lateral station, hip flexor station, abdominal board, dip station and a chin-up station.
