Races are held every second Sunday between May and early August and it has been known for up to eighty yachts across four fleets to race between Goat Island and the Gladesville Bridge. Prizes are awarded to the first, second and third placing boats on handicap in each division for each race and trophies awarded to first, second and third placing on handicap in each Season Point Score. Yachtsmen and women of all abilities are catered for at Drummoyne, from the absolute beginner to the elite sailor and everyone in between. Yachts, for instance, represent the Club in many of the major ocean races such as the Sydney to Hobart.
