AREA OVERVIEW Russellville is a city located in the northeastern part of Franklin County with a population of 9,815 in 2016. Franklin County, Alabama is centrally located between Birmingham, Memphis and Nashville, near Interstate 22, close to the Tennessee River and the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway.
