6 St. Benedict Cathedral | Evansville, IN Time to do some spring cleaning! The St. Vincent de Paul truck will be stationed in the church parking lot on Saturday, June 26, 10AM to 2PM. Time to clean out closets and basements for those gently used items! Your donated items will be taken to the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store on Walnut Street where they will be stocked in the store and sold at a low cost to many fami- lies and individuals in need. When the St. Vincent de Paul members make calls each week, they also give out store vouchers to the needy in our area. There are so many that are living without adequate dishware, pots and pans, bedding, chairs, dressers, and more. These vouchers can be redeemed for the clothes, shoes, furniture and household items that you have donated. Your donated items are greatly appreciated! But there are several items that CANNOT be accepted. They include: Infant car seats and cribs Large tube TVs Damaged walkers and wheelchairs with missing parts Large exercise equipment Household building materials such as toilets, sinks, tubs, windows, or doors Desks Old appliances and water heaters Mattresses and box springs Pianos and organs Built in appliances Printers Old console stereos Cassette and VHS tapes Long fluorescent light bulbs Tires Batteries, open & old paint, and other hazardous items Old carpet We are also calling on volunteers to man the collection truck. Volunteer for just one hour to receive items and stack in the truck. This is a great volunteer opportunity for families and students needing volunteer hours.
