This grant is available until 30 September 2021. To check whether you are eligible, please refer to our summer scheme before completing an application form. Our awards panel will review all applications for the grant and decide which ones are approved for funding. Successful applications will be acknowledged by e-mail, which will confirm the amount of grant funding we will pay by BACS transfer to your bank account. Other financial support still available Businesses and employees affected by the Covid-19 pandemic could still benefit from the range of other financial support still on offer: The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme, known as the furlough scheme, is open until 30 September 2021. Claims must be made by 14 October 2021 and any amendments must be made by 28 October 2021. Under the scheme, eligible employees will receive 60% of their current salary for hours not worked, up to a maximum of £1,875. Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs is administering the scheme and has published a step by step guide for employers. The Self-Employment Income Support Scheme will continue until September 2021 with a fifth and final grant available. The fifth grant covers the period between May and September and is worth 80% of three months' average trading profits, capped at £7,500 for those with a reduction in turnover of 30% or more. For those with a reduction in turnover of less than 30%, the grant will be worth 30% of three months' average trading profits, capped at £2,850. If your business does not qualify for financial support and is affected by Covid-19, we do have the discretion to give hardship relief. Please complete our application form. The government's online platform can help businesses easily access the financial support they are eligible for during the Covid-19 pandemic. By filling out a simple questionnaire, the business support finder will signpost business owners and the self-employed to relevant government financial support.
Short disruption to some benefits and payments services Some of our benefits and payment services will be unavailable for a short period, as we prepare to introduce a new online system later this year, which will make it quicker and easier for businesses and residents to deal with us. Before then, we need to move the information we currently hold over to the new system, which means there will a short disruption to some of our services. From 1 September until 4 October 2021, we won’t be able to process: Business rates or council tax discounts. Exemptions for business rates and council tax. New applications for benefits. Discretionary housing payments. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this might cause, but this work is necessary to enable us to deliver the improvements the new system will bring. If you need any help during this period, please contact our Customer Services team by e-mailing customer.services@tandridge.gov.uk or calling 01883 722000.
