Dear National Trust Traveler, In 1971, travel trends ran the gamut of ambitious to nothing short of monumental. Amtrak service began with 21 routes, the United Arab Emirates was established, Apollo 14 completed the third successful U.S. mission to the moon and the Walt Disney World Resort opened in Orlando. At the same time and with great expectation, National Trust Tours launched its first foray into affinity travel in epic fashion—aboard a National Historic Landmark, the Delta Queen steamboat. Hundreds of destinations, thousands of travelers and 50 years later, we’re still here! Because of the trust and support of National Trust travelers, we’ll spend this golden anniversary doing what we love— continuing to provide moments that thrill, recollect, teach, unite and invite you to remain curious about this wonderful world of ours. Plans are underway for our 50th anniversary in 2021, which will include a series of special programs both stateside and abroad. Please visit our website often for updates on these and all our offerings. And while you’re there, sign up for our email deals. Thank you for being a part of our (first) 50 years!
