Welcome to the 2021 NACE
Eastern Area Conference Jason Rine
Welcome back to the NACE Eastern Area Conference 2021, which brings things back to the Northeast
and hosted by the NACE West Virginia and Pittsburgh sections. Our conference this year will run Monday,
October 4th through Wednesday, October 6th at the Hilton Garden Inn at Southpointe, PA.
This year’s conference will kick off with the Eastern Area Board of Trustees meeting, which is open to all
NACE and SSPC members. This session will run for about 2 hours and then will lead into a roundtable
discussion with the AMPP CEO, Bob Chalker. He will be addressing questions about the NACE/SPCC merger,
as well as any questions you may have about AMPP. The evening will culminate with a Welcome Reception
bringing together both attendees and our vendors to kick off the week with a relaxed networking opportunity
and celebrate a great conference ahead!
The program portion of our Conference runs Tuesday and Wednesday and will have two technical tracks
running concurrently - Corrosion and Coatings – both consisting of expert-led symposia, case studies and
best practices. In between these exciting sessions, you won’t want to miss our sold-out Exhibit Hall packed
with vendors from across the industry featuring the latest information and products to help with corrosion
control. On Tuesday night, we welcome you to an Exhibitor Reception in our Exhibit Hall, giving you the
perfect opportunity to network with these specialty businesses from across the country, as well as your
industry peers, to foster unique industry partnerships.
In addition to our technical program, the 2021 EAC is hosting two rectifier trouble-shooting and maintenance
courses throughout the week led by CM Nelson and featuring both classroom-style and hands-on
instruction:
Course 1: October 4th (full day) and October 5th (½ day)
Course 2: October 6th (full day) and October 7th (½ day)
We look forward to seeing you at the conference and believe that you will come away with at least one
solution to your corrosion or coatings challenges.
