However, he or she will require significant practice and skill development in order to “round out” his or her ability to become fully certified. • Fail or withdrew – individual has not demonstrated significant skill development to offer Mondo Zen™ Facilitation. 4
Certified Mondo Zen™ Facilitators: Certified Mondo Zen™ Facilitators are recognized as having completed a rigorous program in Mondo Zen™ Facilitation. Certified facilitators have been assessed by senior practitioners in a skill-based system that has been designed to support ongoing growth and development. What People are Saying What I especially loved was my weekly meeting online with two other students. These meetings, which I initially thought would be more about checking progress, turned out to be heartfelt sharing with others on the path, people who quickly became good friends. These meetings were an opportunity to practice deep listening and speaking from the heart. And even with no 'teacher' present, they left me feeling more centered, more open, and more connected. I shall miss them when the course is complete. - Bussho Martin Boroson Participating in the Mondo Zen Facilitator training has breathed new life into my meditation practice. The more I have practiced facilitating, the more I have seen who I am in relationship to others and the world slowly aligning to my best self - to the compassionate and aware adult self who not only cares deeply about the world but has the ability to make a positive impact. I feel as though I am finally beginning to understand what my first Zen teacher meant when he said that if I really wanted to learn something well I should teach it. - ShiShi Shin Greg Tzar The Mondo Zen certification program provided numerous platforms to work with the technology of the koans. The organization of the program honoured my and our shared humanity, while also being completely spiritually resonant. I enjoyed and benefited from that balance. For me, as a guide, or spiritual friend, the program offered full support as to how to work the Mondo Zen Koan Process with others in a practical and direct way. The community itself offered much wisdom, caring capacity, and support, and I enjoyed the program’s many educational and informing facets, rich with benefit for myself and others. - Emyo Darlene Tataryn Even as an “Experienced Facilitator”, I have found that the Mondo Zen Facilitator Program has pushed me into a deeper level of introspection and retrospection regarding my facilitation skills, not to mention personal levels of discomfort and attention to details I would otherwise ignore. I’m finding that facing this discomfort and learning from it, is essential for me to continue growing and evolving my skillful means. Otherwise, I would likely stagnate where I am, which really isn’t healthy or fun for myself or those with whom I will be sharing this process. I highly recommend this course to anyone who truly wants to assess and improve their Mondo Zen facilitation skills. - Engo Dohi The Mondo Zen Facilitator Program both deepened and broadened my understanding of what it means to be a facilitator, by allowing me to have a highly concentrated practice, in-depth conversations, and guided feedback/support from others invested in exploring the Mondo process. Through better understanding the Mondo and my being able to share it with confidence, my own practice has taken on a new dimension. In all, this program is an excellent example of Zen training; insight and application together support an authentic way of waking up, growing up and showing up in the world. - Umi no Nami Dan Rotnen 7
