The meeting was held via Zoom, pursuant to MCL15.263. A roll call vote followed: Yeas – Baker, Bozek, Glaes, Hughes, Harper, Overton, Craig Nays – None MOTION PREVAILED REGULATORY CONSIDERATIONS Kendella Coleman, LLPC – Petition for Reinstatement MOTION by Harper, seconded by Hughes, to grant reinstatement and limit the Petitioner’s license for a minimum period of 2 years, not to exceed 3 years. The Petitioner must practice under direct/on-site supervision of a board-approved supervising LPC. The Petitioner is required to petition for reclassification of the limited license. The Petitioner is placed on probation to run concurrently with the period of limitation with required quarterly supervisor reports. The terms of limitation/probation continue to apply if petitioner obtains a LPC license. Michigan Board of Counseling Meeting Minutes January 8, 2021 Page 11 of 12 A roll call vote followed: Yeas – Baker, Bozek, Glaes, Hughes, Harper, Overton, Craig Nays – None MOTION PREVAILED HPRP Annual Report MacIntosh presented the Health Professional Recovery Program (HPRP) Annual Report and discussed statistics of the participants in the program from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020. Discussion was held. Chair Report None Department Update MacIntosh announced that the Department is holding a board member training on February 17, 2021, and all members are welcome to attend. MacIntosh reminded members whose terms were expiring this year to remember to apply for reappointment if they wish to be reappointed. MacIntosh informed the Board that the rules were withdrawn to consider proposed language about emergency conditions. However, that change would require a change in statute, so the rules will be resubmitted. PUBLIC COMMENT Iris Torres asked for clarification on the Boards decision of her application. Michael Joy inquired if counselors could get the vaccine. Macintosh said this is not the platform to discuss COVID-19 related questions. ANNOUNCEMENTS The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held on March 12, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at 611 West Ottawa Street, Upper-Level Conference Room 4, Lansing, Michigan 48933. ADJOURNMENT
