on Emirates Melbourne Cup Day.
Trainers from around the world set their sights on the Emirates Melbourne Cup, a race widely considered to be the best staying handicap in
the world. Over 3200 metres, the Emirates Melbourne Cup offers the richest prize in Australian sport and a 18ct solid gold trophy valued at
$175,000. With such significant international standing, the anticipation of history in the making creates the electric atmosphere that is
‘the race that stops a nation’.™
This iconic day is a heady mix of revelry, spectacular racing and fashion, and exquisite hospitality and entertainment,
making it an unmissable sporting and cultural event.

Come along and meet your fellow travellers and experience an

This event is being held on Monday 06 November, the day prior to
Emirates Melbourne Cup Day.
Afternoon tea at Mural Hall, top floor Myer Department Store
Mural Hall is called so because of the impressive collection of 8 original
murals displaying influential figures from the arts, opera, literature,
dance and fashion.
On arrival you will be served a glass of sparkling wine before being led
to the Grand Hall where the afternoon will start with a selection of
savoury and sweet items. We have also included a few glasses of
sparkling wine for your enjoyment, or a cash bar is provided if you fancy
anything else. There will be tea and coffee served throughout the
afternoon.
Along with meeting your tour hosts and special guests, you will also
receive your Race Book and Melbourne Cup souvenir Pin & Pen.
