HRRA members joined forces with real-estate professionals from across the Commonwealth on February 6 for the Virginia REALTORS® (VR) 2019 Economic and Advocacy Summit. The local contingent was among 390 VR members who came together at the Omni Hotel in Richmond in support of the state association’s legislative package during the 2019 General Assembly Session. HRRA also celebrated sur- passing its RPAC Major Investor goal for 2019 during the RPAC Awards Luncheon as well as longtime HRRA member Ann Palmateer’s receipt of the coveted Chairman’s Award from NAR for her lifetime of outstanding service to the REALTOR® organization. Palmateer has worked tirelessly at the local, state and national levels for the business of real estate and homeownership for all and is a past president of VR. Attendees enjoyed a panel discussion featuring past legislators and moderated by VR Immediate Past President (and HRRA member) Jay Mitchell, town hall discussions with three state senators and three delegates, and more.
