Manningham’s WASTE SERVICES NEW WASTE CONTRACT In 2016 Manningham Council commenced a new waste collection contract as well as replacing all residential garbage, recycling and garden bins, which had been in service for 17 years. The new contract delivered substantial costs savings for Council which saw the standard bin option charge reduce by 24 per cent in the first year. HAS COUNCIL INTRODUCED A NEW WASTE CHARGE? No, the annual waste charge has been shown as a separate item on the annual rates notice for over 17 years to provide ratepayers with a transparent fee for this service.
