Malta may be small but has a lot to offer! Malta is beautiful and varied. From the coasts, the breathtaking nature, the fascinating architecture, the diversity of the extraordinary language to the really interesting history that goes back over 6,000 years. Maltese history reads with more excitement than a book by Ken Follett! First came the Carthaginians, then the Romans, and finally the Arabs. The defensiveness of the small archipelago is particularly impressive compared to the Turks, as they were able to launch large conquest trains in Europe, and bite their teeth in Malta. For many years, Malta was part of the colonial empire of Great Britain - Malta declared independence in September 1964. It is only after the long period of British influence on the economy and culture that its own identity develops slowly. In addition to its sandy beaches and bathing facilities, Malta offers numerous highlights, especially for those interested in culture. The people are open-minded and friendly - Malta is a melting pot of hundreds of different cultures and religions, diverse ethnic groups and interesting people. The climate is very pleasantly mild all year round with travel recommended from the months May to October, when the weather is characterized by sunny days and little rain with a sea that is pleasantly warm.
Have fun in Malta | What to do in Malta Valletta – A World Heritage City Enjoy a walking tour of Valletta, visiting the Upper Barakka Gardens and its spectacular views across the Grand Harbour and the Three Cities, St. John’s Co-Cathedral with its extravagant interior and the Malta 5D Audio-Visual Show before having some free time for shopping around Valletta. Mdina, Rabat and Wine Tasting Exploring the northern part of the island is a great ex- perience especially as it is less heavily populated and benefits from lovely open space and unique views. Malta Jeep Safari The Jeep Safari has been designed to show some of the most beautiful parts of Malta such as a typical Maltese fishing village, stunning cliffs, forts etc. For more information on Activities in Malta, visit www.owceurope.com or contact Cristina Dimech at Venues: cristina@venuesmalta.com
