The Illinois Lottery recognizes the work of our sales representatives who are out all across the State
keeping our retail partners up to date on everything lottery. Tom Brown of Chicago, IL is one of them.
Tom began his lottery career in 1981 with an Illinois Lottery vendor, where he spent 30 years
before transitioning into a 6-year role with a former Illinois Lottery management firm.
He has been an Illinois Lottery Sales Rep for nearly 5 years.

THE DREAM RANGER
HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!
With the holidays behind us, we can start the new year with a daydream.
You should begin seeing the Dream Ranger in POS assets, as well as outdoor
advertising. At the same time, the exciting new commercials, featuring daydreams
of lobster pinatas and dragon roller coasters, are making their way to a TV near you.
The “Don’t Give Up Your Daydream” campaign features the heroic Dream Ranger,
who reminds Illinoisans to get a chance to make dreams come true by buying a
lottery ticket. The Dream Ranger’s purpose is to show that dreams may become
reality if you’re willing to act on them.
In this fun campaign, fantastical situations, representing dreams, materialize
when the dreamer has a lottery ticket. Dream Ranger is our initiative to
increase retailer ticket sales over the next year by reminding people to
daydream big. You could have more people in line for the lottery!

SOME BIG LOTTO & LUCKY DAY LOTTO
WINS FOR RETAILERS
Shilpa and Narendra Desai, owners of KL Liquors & Pantry, were excited to learn their store had sold a
winning Lotto ticket worth $5.6 million. “In the past five years, we’ve sold several winning Illinois Lottery
tickets, including a $300,000 Lucky Day Lotto ticket and a $50,000 Lotto ticket, but this is by far the biggest
winning jackpot ticket we’ve ever sold at our store!” exclaims Nerendra Desai.
The Desais will receive a $56,000 selling bonus that they plan to put back into their business,
buy some holiday gifts, and possibly take a family trip to Hawaii.

ticket in the Monday, November 8 draw
The retailer at Speedway gas station and convenience store in Willow Springs, IL sold
a $1.25 million winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket that matched all 5 numbers.
“I can’t believe it, the winning ticket was actually sold here,” said Lenesha Belcher, General Manager.
“We have a lot of regular customers who play the Lucky Day Lotto, so it would be nice if the winner is someone
we know. But no matter what, I’m just so excited for the lottery millionaire,” added Belcher. The retailer will
receive a bonus of $12,500 (one percent of the prize amount) for selling the winning ticket.

was sold at this Speedway at 8424 Willow
Springs Road in Willow Springs, IL.
