Today, through aviation, we can not only join the birds but also fly farther, faster, and higher than they ever could. Scouts who earn this badge will learn about food safety, nutritional guidelines, meal planning, and methods of food preparation, and will review the variety of culinary (or cooking) careers available. Maximum number of participants: 20 Prerequisites: Requirements 4c, 4d, 4e; 5d, 5e, 5g, 5h; and 6d, 6e, 6f must be completed after MBU so Scout will not finish that day, but they will do some cooking at the MBU; Requirements 5f and 6g can be explained to the counselor in class after the menu is created. Maximum number of participants: 10 Prerequisites: Wear Field (Class A) uniform to opening ceremony; bring jeans and enclosed shoes to change into for class; no shorts or open-toed shoes will be allowed; need 3 adult leaders.
