COVID-19 RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL Introduction • Tennis is one of the few sports permitted to return to play and our responsibility is to ensure the Club is compliant with all Government, HSE & Tennis Ireland guidelines • We have a duty of care to the community and to operate in a socially responsible manner • A phased approach will be taken to re-opening the Club which will allow contact tracing to be performed in the event of a positive test • This is a guide to phase 1 from May 18 - note Public Health & Government advice takes precedence • During this phase only members living within 5km of the Club should use the facilities • Over 70s are not permitted to use the Club during this phase • No unaccompanied juniors are permitted in the Club during this phase.
COVID-19 RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL Club Operations • Prior to opening all loose items such as bins, seating etc. will be removed from the courts and when items cannot be removed, they will be identified as out of use • A hand sanitizing station will be installed inside the front gate • For w/c May 18, the Club will open daily from 9am to 2pm & 6pm & 9pm • The gate will be held open during these hours and locked at all other times. • Initially courts 1,3 & 4 will be available for single play or doubles play for members of a family living in the same house only • Tennis can only be played by advance booking, no walkups, no spectators • No one will be allowed on site without ALL names advised in advance.
COVID-19 RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL Playing • The Clubhouse will remain closed for the foreseeable future, with no access to toilets or floodlights • Time slots will be managed by David Black - the memberGRIP booking system is not in use • Booking times will be staggered starting at 9am on Court 3; 9:15am on Court 4, and 9:30am on Court 1 • Each slot will be for an hour with 50 minutes playing time at which point players wipe down and leave the premises before the next players enter • Only members with a booked court are permitted on site • A committee member will administer this protocol. If none are available, the Club will not open • Booking restrictions will be in place depending on demand.
COVID-19 RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL Member Responsibilities • Log on to memberGRIP - confirm all contact information is correct & new requirements are accepted • Only members who opt in and agree to follow this protocol will be admitted • Toilets are not in use and the Golf Club toilets will be inaccessible • Bring your own towels, sanitizer, wipes, water and tennis balls • Do not share tennis balls • The gate area is a pinch point - do not enter until your court is free and the previous players have vacated the premises • Do not touch the gate, access control panel or any other surface. Do not lean on the rails or sit on fixed benches • Use the hand sanitizer on entering.
COVID-19 RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOL Member Responsibilities • Change ends using opposite sides of the net • Allow players entering or leaving another court adequate space to do so • Do not congregate • If you accidently touch anything, please wipe it down • Challenge any member not following this protocol or adhering to social distancing • We are very fortunate to be one of the early sports returning - it is highly likely there are people in our community who have the virus and are asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic • If we are deemed responsible for an outbreak, we will be compelled to close by the HSE.
