Ground conditions - site investigations • Geotechnical site investigations with more than 500 holes drilled along the planned track • Kleverud-Sørli - Good ground conditions for construction purposes. Visible rock or thin layers of topsoil • Sørli-Åkersvika - Hard moraine of varying depth above a soft type of rock. Stable soils for civil works • Focus on analysis – soil and rock 46
Ground conditions – Tangenvika • Comprehensive geotechnical site investigation program with 90 drilling points performed 2015/2016 • Stable barge ensure correct data • Use of "down-the hole” technology to verify bedrock in addition to geophysical investigation • Soil consist mud and hard moraine 47
Special conditions – Lake Mjøsa • There is a large difference between the regulated water levels in summer and winter in Lake Mjøsa. • Highest regulated water level HRV = 122.94 m • Lowest regulated water level LRV = 119.33 m • Discharge permit granted 48
Åkersvika wetland • Åkersvika is Norways first Ramsar site (1974)-one of the largest (4300 ha) and best-developed freshwater deltas in Norway. • Application for exemption from RAMSAR-regulations- Hedmark county – in good progress • Building new railway will have a footprint of 29 daa, of which 19 daa is permanent. 49
What do we think about risk • Main principles for allocation of risk in the contract will be: - The risk shall be carried by the party most familiar with the risk and best able to control it - Risk allocation in the contract shall be fair (balanced) and well-defined - Compensation format will be compiled to reflect the above • Risk mitigation is also applied by: - Reduced uncertainty through thorough geological and geophysical surveys - Test pile driving in Mjøsa by contractor, to be considered - Use of competitive dialogue for Tangenvika railway bridge - Environmental regulations; Several permits for environmental emissions in good progress • The compensation format will aim for neutral liquidity 50
