THE GOLDEN EAGLE EXPRESS Whisk your guests via the Golden Eagle Express Gondola to 7,700 feet for an unforgettable experience before you tie the knot! This unique mode of transportation will leave your guests talking about your wedding for years to come. ASCEND THOUSANDS OF FEET WITHOUT LOSING YOUR BREATH. With 8 guests per cabin, we are able to transport your guests 4,000 vertical feet to the top of the mountain while they take in the panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, Columbia River Wetlands and perhaps even catch a glimpse of Kicking Horse Mountain Resorts resident grizzly bear, Boo. Every cabin is wheelchair / stroller accessible and can be slowed or stopped to accommodate guests with limited mobility. Getting your decorations, flowers and cake to the top will be a breeze. Our staff will assist you and your vendors load your decorations and equipment in our custom made carts designed to fit directly inside each cabin.
WALKER PHOTOGRAPHY THE EAGLE’S EYE SUITES At 7,700 feet above sea level, perched high on a rugged summit overlooking the Columbia Valley, the Rocky, Purcell and Selkirk Mountains, sits the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant. Nestled within the timber, rock and glass structure are the Eagle’s Eye Suites. TASTEFULLY APPOINTED WITH A ROCKY MOUNTAIN FLARE, THESE EXECUTIVE SUITES OFFER A SANCTUM OF LUXURY & SOLITUDE. Available to rent for the day, the Eagle’s Eye Suites give you the space to relax and indulge on your special day. There are 2 suites available with one suite included in the full reception package for the day of your wedding. The 2nd suite can be added in at an additional cost of $300 subject to availability. Check-in is available at 11.30am, offering a sanctuary for you and your wedding party to get ready before your ceremony. Day use of one suite is included with the Eagle’s Eye Ceremony and Reception package giving you access until the end of your reception at 12.45am. There will be no need to worry about parents with little ones having to leave the reception early, as the suite is a great place for kids to sleep off all of the excitement. There is no place more romantic and intimate to spend your wedding night than at the top of a mountain! Overnight stays are available with a wedding discount at a cost of $499/night including a private butler, breakfast and first tracks down the hill for those winter weddings.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort’s signature venue features elegant fixtures, birch chairs and a double sided fireplace. The room is elegantly appointed and perfectly themed for a mountain wedding. The Eagle’s Eye requires very little decorating and we will even provide a selection of vases and birch candles for the finishing touches. Canada’s Most Elevated Restaurant can accommodate 116 guests allowing for an intimate ambiance. Included with the venue, our bar and service staff will take care of all the set up and tear down as well as provide linen, dinnerware and glasses so you have more time to make those memories!

SIGHTSEEING & HIKING Stepping off the gondola at the top of the mountain for the first (or even hundredth) time can induce feelings of wonder and humility as the ridgelines of the Selkirk and Purcell mountain ranges extend back as far as the eye can see. With gondola assisted sightseeing at the heart of Kicking Horse’s appeal, several ridgeline hiking paths are marked for easy access to show off the panoramic views the Horse is known for. GRIZZLY BEAR REFUGE Take a scenic chairlift ride to the Grizzly Bear Refuge to enjoy an hour-long interpretive tour during which you can observe our resident grizzly, Boo, and learn all about this magnificent species. This 20 acre refuge is the largest enclosed and protected grizzly bear habitat in the world. Within this natural mountainside habitat, Boo hunts, forages and explores just like his wild cousins. Everyone who comes to visit Boo is fascinated by his strength, agility, intelligence and personality. MOUNTAIN BIKING People don’t come to Kicking Horse Bike Park to ride the same old thing, they come for the differences and we have plenty meaning 1200 metres (4000 feet) of stupendous variety! The start of it is the view from the alpine launch which is dominated by the three mountain ranges that surround the park, and the most variety of trails in the Canadian Rockies region. VIA FERRATA Secured Climbing Route – Get vertical at the most exhilarating Via Ferrata (Italian for iron path) in Western Canada! Confirmed and apprentice climbers alike will tackle Terminator Peak’s north face and venture through 2 custom courses and 1 suspension bridge.

SKIING & BOARDING The winter season at Kicking Horse offers an integrated mountain resort experience with some of the most progressive inbounds skiing in North America. The mountain consists of 1,260 metres (4,133 feet) of vertical including 128 runs, 4 alpine bowls and 85 inbound chutes, spread over 2,825 acres of skiable terrain. High adrenaline adventure or relaxing peaceful pastimes, the mountain caters to every skill level. With annual snowfall ranging from 254 cm at the bottom of the mountain to 700 cm at the summit, the slopes are known to produce sparking, light and dry snow, dubbed Champagne Powder. LESSONS Getting better just keeps getting better at Kicking Horse! Our lessons help recreational skiers and riders become experts. TELUS Winter Sports School is designed to build your strength and enhance your skills, until you learn to ride with confidence and control in the expert zones. Our guides will share their amazing insights and teach you all the special skills you need to master any kind of terrain. TUBING & SKATING Located in the heart of the Kicking Horse Plaza, with access by the Jelly Bean surface lift, we make tubing easy. No skills are required, just a sense of adventure. It’s the perfect family activity after a day on the slopes. Take a few relaxing moments to soak in your surroundings while on the Village Rink located at our Learning Centre. This natural ice surface is perfect for the family who wants to “chill out” after some time on the slopes. It features benches, a fire pit, warming hut and music. Please remember to bring your skates and Smores supplies to enjoy a tasty treat. Bring your “A” game as sticks and pucks are welcome.
DAVE BEST MINIMUM FOOD & BEVERAGE SPEND The minimum spend is the amount that must be spent within the facility on food and alcohol, before taxes and gratuity. Minimum spends are calculated per adult to ensure the Food & Beverage minimums are reasonable for smaller or larger event volumes. A change of date or guest numbers may incur additional costs. The minimum spend will be calculated at $120 or $140 per adult, depending on your selected package. If you have 50 or less guests attending your event, your minimum spend will be based on a flat rate calculated on 50 guests. A guaranteed number of guests are required 14 days prior to the event. You are billed based on this guaranteed number or the actual number of guests served, if the latter is more than the guaranteed number. MENU & BEVERAGE SERVICE Our award winning culinary team has created a menu with your special event in mind. Showcasing BC’s finest and freshest ingredients, our Chef’s creations are prepared with great care and a creative design that will be sure to leave your guests raving. We understand that every event is unique and we welcome your ideas if you would like to customize your menu to match your vision. Special dietary needs and allergies can be accommodated with advance notice. Menu pricing may be subject to change based on market fluctuations Allow us to help you plan your menu and make your wine selections. Book your menu and wine tasting with our Chef and Sommelier who will take you on an epicurean journey with custom wine pairings for your selected menu allowing you to work one on one with our Chef to develop your menu. Featuring poured wine and table service, the bar service will conclude at 12:30am before your guests can cozy up in the gondola cabins for the last ride down of the night at 12:45am.
ALAN MAUDIE INCLEMENT WEATHER Mountain weather is unpredictable and can change quickly. It is recommended to have proper footwear and attire in the event of inclement weather. Wedding ceremonies are planned to be held on the outdoor Eagle’s Eye Terrace and your mountaintop event will continue whether hot or cold, rain or shine. In the case of inclement weather, your ceremony may be moved indoors if you have booked an exclusive Eagle Eye Reception package otherwise we will make every attempt to accommodate the situation by delaying the service for as long as possible. If delaying is not an option an alternative venue may be provided. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort does not allow the affixing of anything to the walls, floors or ceilings of the rented venues with nails, staples, tape or any other substance. The client will be held responsible for any damage to the building, equipment, decorations or fixtures belonging to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Any damages will be billed to the client at the replacement costs. We request that no confetti/rice/flower petals, etc. be used on our premises due to the natural environment of our ceremony site. Bubbles, signs, flags, pinwheels or baskets with flowers are some alternatives to consider for flower girls. It is the responsibility of the wedding couple to arrange transportation of all wedding items such as decorations, flowers and cake to the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant or Whitetooth Grill. Access to either reception venue starts at 3:30pm on the day of your wedding. Should you require additional set up time, please discuss with us and every effort will be made to extend timing.
