DAY ONE Afternoon Check into your hotel of choice and visit the local, eclectic boutique shops in downtown Kamloops. Stop in at Main Street or Jardines Domaine for trendy clothes, or if you’re searching for chic home and lifestyle items including indoor plants, explore Far & Wide. Evening For dinner, make your way to one of Kamloops’ newest restaurants, Forno on 5th. Pair a whiskey flight with a Mediterranean inspired dish like the Truffled Mushroom Cannelloni. Boogie into the night with a concert at The Blue Grotto, Cactus Jacks, or enjoy an intimate concert at The Art We Are. DAY TWO Morning Indulge in a home-cooked Blackstone Benny at Passek’s Classics Café before heading for the hills, literally. Take a hike on the 4.8km Battle Bluff Trail, approx. 1.5 hours, to be rewarded with panoramic views of Kamloops Lake. On your way back to town, visit Red Beard Café on The North Shore for a Grilled Three Cheese or a Breakfast Salad. Afternoon Spend the afternoon viewing the latest exhibition at the Kamloops Art Gallery or browse one of the many unique exhibits at the Kamloops Museum & Archives, like the history of Kamloops fly fishing. If you’re still up for adventure, take a 15-minute drive east on Highway 1 to the BC Wildlife Park, a rehabilitation centre for rescued or endangered animals indigenous to British Columbia. Get up close with over 60 species including Clover, the Spirit Bear, and Gus the mountain goat. Evening Exploration and education can be thirsty work; hop on The Triang-ale Trail, a self-guided craft beer crawl at 3 of Kamloops’ breweries.
