Discover… Matthiessen State Park: What a remarkable hike! Discover Lake Falls, a breathtaking 35-foot icefall glittering in morning sunlight … an ice-fringed river … a mile-long sandstone canyon … caves … Giant’s Bathtub … gorgeous 45-foot Cascade Falls … colorful Devil’s Paint Box. About 2 miles/2 hours French & Wildcat Canyons: Hike up a frozen creek to magical French Canyon, where 50-foot sandstone cliffs surround a frozen cascade.
