Position: Front of House Manager & Public Relations Department: Management Reports to: General Manager - CEO Job Description Yamba is looking for a proficient Front of House & Public Relations Manager who will have the accountability for monitoring all F&B activities related to the customer experience. The FOH & PR Manager has the responsibility to consistently provide outstanding dining and other food and beverage experiences for Yamba guests. The successful applicant will hold a critical strategic role within Yamba overseeing daily front of house operations, supervising and coordinating the entire front of house team - host, service and bar teams and ensuring the guest receives a warm welcome and that service runs smoothly. The candidate must be able to create a pleasant and welcoming environment, at all times, for our guests and constantly display feelings of positivism and calmness.
FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER & PUBLIC RELATIONS Responsibilities Promote an optimal work environment and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills that will empower personnel. Booking system management & Guest allocation ● Manage the reservation system, optimizing the restaurant occupancy and ensuring accuracy when entering data into the system. ● Communicates with the technical team of the reservation system for updates and settings. ● Ensure that all calls, messages and e-mails are promptly and gently answered to optimize the restaurant’s capacity and customer experience. Guest hosting / welcoming ● Gather and summarize relevant information and profile notes of VIPs guests and Tribe Members and share with the front of house staff. ● Lead and support Head Hostess with any duties at the reception. ● Follow up the table's timing, availability and the seating waiting time. ● Accommodate the VIPs guests and Tribe Members according to the protocols. ● Assist with guests’ drinks from bar to table when escorting guests. ● Ensure a warm and positive welcome to the guests at the reception. Guest satisfaction ● Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, to respond to complaints, or to initiate conversation creating a warm atmosphere ● Ensure an outstanding customer experience, by doing a constant follow up of the food, beverage and service in terms of quality and guests satisfaction. ● Constantly remain guest focused and promote an exceptional guest experience. Service quality ● Address any issues in a timely manner and assist with everything about the customer experience and floor service ● Investigate all complaints and report to the Management on duty ● Determine the needs and preferences of Yamba guests and ensure that these needs are fulfilled ● Recommend alternative practices for food & beverage preparation and presentation that will maximize guest satisfaction, minimize costs and optimize service time. ● Assist in the development of wine & alcohol lists and menu. ● Review and monitor F&B policies and operating procedures ● Always follow strict hygiene procedures along with the Food & Beverage/Health & Safety regulations CRM - Customer Relationship Management ● Cultivate positive relationships with staff and customers.
● Build relationships with companies and individuals in order to maximize reservations and gather partnerships. ● Identify and build relationships with customers that fits Yamba target ● Should be able to recognize regular guests, PXs and Tribe Members. ● Gather and store customer data systematically ● Follow and complete all checklists and reports efficiently in a timely manner Look & Feel ● Guarantee that the look and feel protocols and checklist are complied ● Support to create a relaxing vibe and a visual story that reinforces Yamba’s personality and builds beauty, simplicity, trust and credibility. Booking & Service Training ● Participate and collaborate on all Staff training. ● Guarantee that all service steps are in accordance with the training manual, the brand guidelines, protocols and customer service excellence standards, from the beginning to the end of the customer experience. Requirements ● Proven working experience as a Front of House Manager or F&B Manager for minimum 4 years in 5* Hotels, High-End Restaurants or comparable, in terms of quality, Beach Compounds ● Culinary school diploma or degree in Food Service Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, Public Relations, or related field ● Professional communication skills, appearance and behavior. ● Strong communication skills in English and some knowledge of Portuguese. Other languages are welcome. ● Ability to build positive relationships with high levels of interpersonal skills. ● Excellent talent to interact with people in a positive and courteous manner. ● Able to work flexible working hours, weekends and holidays. ● Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Position: Head Waiter Department: FOH Reports to: General Manager - Ops. Manager -FOH Manager - Floor Manager Job Description Yamba is looking for a proficient Head waiter who will be responsible to provide great customer service while performing their regular waiter duties, as well as managing their fellow waiters. The head waiter must be a great multi-tasker, quick decision maker, strong problem solver, organized, and have excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team, and should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally and provide excellent customer service as well as creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere to all of our customers. HEAD WAITER Responsibilities ● Welcome the guest on their table ● Present menu and provide detailed information (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies) ● Provide excellent customer service, by doing a constant follow up of the service, orders and guests satisfaction. ● Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses ● Inform customers about the day’s specials and offer menu recommendations ● Up-sell additional products when appropriate ● Train new waitstaff on basic techniques and the specific expectations and procedures. ● Coordinate shift covers, and disciplining waitstaff as necessary.

Position: Drink & Food Runner / Busser Department: FOH Reports to: General Manager - Ops. Manager -FOH Manager - Floor Manager - Head Waiter - Head Runner DRINK & FOOD RUNNER / BUSSER Responsibilities ● Deliver drinks from the bar and food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables quickly and accurately ● Communicate food and drink orders, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies) ● Remove dirty dishes and utensils ● Ensure cleanliness of tables and spills with disinfecting wipes ● Assist server with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins ● Ensure food is served in accordance with safety & service standards (e.g. proper temperature, appearance) ● Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed ● Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items ● Inform restaurant staff about customer’s feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check) ● Do the side work before service starts - polish cutlery, fold napkins, etc. ● Polishes and refills stations during service with silverware, glasses, and plates ● Reset tables in a timely manner ● Assist server with topping up water ● Assist with cleaning breakages and spillages in the restaurant as they occur

Manager -FOH Manager - Floor Manager Job Description Yamba is looking for proficient Head bartenders who will oversee the running of the bar, from managing the team and ensuring they provide a pleasant customer experience, to serving customers and dealing with some administrative tasks. The head bartender needs to be good at problem-solving, organized, and have excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team and should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be proud of providing excellent customer service.
