EVENTS EVENTS Record Attendance at T Young Agents Conference By Melissa Hall The 2018 Young Agents Conference was a huge success. More than 140 attendees spent three days at French Lick Springs Resort in June to enjoy networking and CE classes that gave them tangible takeaways for the work place. “I liked everything about the conference. Everyone did such a great job of making everyone feel welcome,” said Shelbi Chitty, First Insurance Group, Inc. “I learned so much and had fun while doing it!” The event included a risk management tour of the historic resort and West Baden, classes on social media branding, and liquor liability, and a panel with state legislators. “This conference is one of the best if you want to not only form new relationships but also come back with things you’ve learned,” said attendee Mike Fisher, Indiana Farmers Insurance. Next year’s conference will be held June 19-20, 2019 at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. The Young Agents are also hosting an afternoon event at TopGolf in Fishers, Ind. on April 25. “The conference is about so much more than just CE credits. This is a group of young professionals that are passionate about finding better ways to serve their clients and have no problem sharing trade secrets,” said Ben Zimmer, Ethos Insurance & Risk Management. “The underlying theme will always be that we get better together.” ■ 32
