                                From the Director

                                     In 2019…

Mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion
and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encou-
rage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise.
Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand.
Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be
kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Wel-
come a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the
beauty and wonder of the Earth. Speak your love and then speak it
again and again. -Howard Hunter-
This coming year, may you find fulfillment, contentment and pea-
ce in your lives. May serenity grace your soul and tranquil moments
bless your life and keep your spirit whole. May this be a brighter, bet-
ter New Year for you.
Think of this coming year as an empty book. Tomorrow is the first
blank page of your 365 page book. Fill your pages with good things.
Make it your goal to write a good book in 2019.

May you have a healthy and Happy New Year…
                                       Lucy

Highlights of the Fall Season:
Betty Ensero scored a DOUBLE EAGLE! This is put-
ting the ball in the hole in two shots on a Par 5 hole. This
feat is very rare in golf. It is considered even harder to do
than a hole-in-one. Congratulations, Betty. All of Don’s
coaching must be paying off.
Ed Kearney tied the record low with a score of 18. He
also had 2 Eagles this session. Not to be outdone by her
husband, Ellie Kearney had 3 Eagles! Maria Silva and
Don Ensero each had one Eagle apiece.
Don states that there is a need for two additional
players for the next session of golf which starts on Janua-
ry 17, 2019. Play begins at 1:00pm. If you are interested
in joining the group, please call Don at 203-575-1511 or
see him at the Senior Center.
I would like to thank Don Ensero who organizes and
coordinates the league. He does a tremendous job run-
ning the league and keeping track of all the scores for us.
Thank you Don for all the time and effort you put into the
program. It isn’t an easy job but one that everyone who
participates in, truly appreciates. Many thanks for a job
very well done!
