INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION GENERAL RULES
ONLINE 2020/2021

NAIL ART & MAKE UP POSTER
Theme : MAGAZINE COVER «HAUTE COUTURE WINTER FASHION 2020/2021 ».

1. Generalities
- The « POSTER NAIL ART & MAKE UP » competition is organised by the non-profit association 1901 law,
NAILARTFRANCE, head quarter 7 rue du Vercors 38400 saint martin d’hères.
- The competition is subject to the following rules.
- Each competitor will regularly reread this updated regulation on the website, untill the close of the
registrations.

2. Explanations
The goal of the association is to organise in France, in 2024, the Olympics Games « Nails and Lashes » in Paris,
considering the economic and health parameters.
This type of competition requires a very good organization, a lot of attention, a technical and logistical
preparation, a change in habits, thoughtful and neat details, to adapt the new rules. These new rules are used
first for this online competition.
The actual competition rules system isn’t adapted anymore to our project, because the principle of olympics
games is to participate by countries, without divisions.
This competition is created to allow each competitor to express his art and his talent.
Competitors will be judged individually. They will represent, under conditions, their country during Nations
Podium.
The competition is open to all and to all physical person, who is 18 years old when he registers. All the artworks
will be made for the NAILARTFRANCE international competition, and never had been published before this event.

3. Novelties
- No divisions. Competitors register regardless of level or experience.
- Each competitor registers and participates individually to the Nailartfrance podium.
- If competitors are minimum 5 with the same nationality, they participate in the podium of the nations.
- Competitors from all countries are allowed to participate.
- Registration price : 119 euros ttc.
- The competitor participate with only one work.
- The competitor will write his nationality as on his Identity Card or passport. If a competitor has 2 nationality,
he has to choose one.
- Registrations close : the 30th MARCH 2021 at 14H.
- Artworks reception close : the 15th APRIL 2021 at 14H.
- Competitors will respect all the rules. Each competitor who didn’t, will be disqualified, wthout
compensation. No refund will be done.

4. Registration
- Registration will be done online on : https://nailartfrance-competition.fr
- Competiitors are entirely responsible of their registration.

- Registration is accepted when payment is validate by the bank.
- Online bank transaction are secure.
- Registration fees are personnal, and can’t be assign to someone else.
- Each competitor registers him-self.
- It is forbidden to register an other competitor, under penalty of being disqualified immediatly.
- All paid registration belong to Nailartfrance association.
- An invoice is automatically sent by mail. Controle your spam.

5. Sending photos
- Mail where to send the photos : competitionnailartfrance@gmail.com
- Each competitor will write in the email : his name, surname, postal adress, phone number, and his
nationality.
- He will attach to the email :
o Only one photo of the poster in JPEG format.
o One photo of his ID card or passport, that has to be valid.
- The competitor will check before to send the email, that all the requested documents are available and in
line with the rules.

6. Rewards
- Nail Art France Podium :
o The 5 best competitors of each countries, those with the most points, will be rewarded with : a
certificate, a medal and a cup.
- Podium of the Nations :
o The 3 countries whose 5 competitors total the most points, will each receive a certificate, a medal
and a cup.
o There must be 5 competitors of the same nationality to participate in The Podium of the Nations.
- In case of equality of points, 2 members of NailArtFrance association will draw lots.
- Judges will assess in total anonymity.

7. Subjet and Theme :
8. THE SUBJECT OF THE THEME IS VIRTUAL AND IMAGINARY
- The federation of Haute Couture has selected you to illustrate the cover of its magazine for the month of
December 2020. This fashion magazine intended for a professional audience, wishes to surprise its
customers by offering them a new image of a refined, elegant, feminine and original woman.
The artistic director asks you to make a photo inspired by the colors and the theme :
« Haute Couture : Winter 2020/2021».
- The photo has to be composed by :
o A makeup face, seen from the front.
o A hairdress.
o A set of nails on 2 hands, with a design on these following 4 nails : the majors and the ring fingers.
- The nails without design have to be color full covered.
- All the creation will be adapted to the imposed theme.
- Nails, make up and hair will be in harmony, elegant, refined, original and artistic.

9. Obligations
- The photo will be a front view.
- The poster will be in colors.
- The make up will be made on the face.
- A hairdress is mandatory.
- All the nails have to be visible, from the side or from above and will fill around 60% of the poster.
- The face make up, the hairdress and the background have to be visible and will fill around 40% of the poster.
- The nails extensions will be made on the 2 hands of a model with forms and builder products as Gel, Acrylic
and/or Acrygel.

- Nail art techniques and colors are free of choice.
- The nail art design has to be on both hands, on the majors and the ring fingers.
- The shape will be the same on 10 nails.
- The shape of the nails has to be artistic, elegant and refine.
- The nails without design have to be colored.
- The competitor has to make the nails, the nail art and the hairdress by himself.
- All the creation will be adapted on the imposed theme.
- The competitor has too send the poster by mail with the ID Card or passport and all the informations
requested.

10.Permissions
a. Nails
- The shape and the length of the artistic nails extensions are free of choice.
- Gel, acrylic, acrygel.
- Gel paint, color gel, 3D gel, pasta gel, acrylic paint, airbrush.
- All nail art techniques are authorized and free of choice.
- Stones, strass, pearls, microbeads, gitters, ect.
b. Hairdress
- Wigs, hairpieces and any other hair additions, headdresses and all adornmets are permitted.
c. Make up
- A make up artist, all make up proucts and colors, conform to standarts, are authorized.
- The background is free of choice.
- Fake eyelashes, colored lashes, are authorized.
- The background is free of choice.
- A photographer is authorized under conditions (see the following chapter).

11. Prohibitions
- The Nail Art France association reserves the right to remove or disqualify a competitor from his prize before,
during or after the judgment publicly announced, if one or more of the criteria written below are not
respected.
IT IS FORBIDDEN :
- To use artificial hands, decals, stamping and bodypainting.
- To glue on the model the extensions made in advance.
- To use all type of tips.
- To have tattoos or any other distinctive sign on the visible part of the body.
- To show logos, brand names, signature on the final photo of the poster.
- To have jewels or ornaments with brand name on them.
- To write something on the final poster as « final photo » or « poster ».
- To modify digitally the nails, the make up and the hairdress.
- To present a photo of a side or ¾ view.
- To present a picture in black and white.
- To present a blurry picture.
- To show fake and real animals on the poster.
- To show 2 persons on the picture.
- To show children on the poster.
- To hide on or more nails.
- To present the nails, that are without nail art, without color.
- To make a design on other nails than those that are imposed : majors and ring fingers.
- To create the poster on self and present it to this competition.
- To photograpph the model while standing.
- To send more than one picture of the poster.
- To forget to join ID card or passport to the mail.
- To register an other competitor.
- To send PDF documents.
- To register with the country of location instead of the native country.

- To publish the artwork on any type of media (social media, magazines, etc) before the official
announcement of results.
- To present an artwork that already has been presented in a competition.
- To register many times.
- To publish the notation sheets.
- To contact the judges before, during and after the competition.
- To send the artwork after the 25th november 14H.

12. Points distribution
- The total amount of points is : 200 points
- General aspect and ppresentation (20 points) : The 10 nails will be visible, the work harmonious. The
competitor will loose 2 points per invisible nail.
- Respect of the theme (20 points) : Respect of the theme, 60 % for nails and 40 % for hairdress, make up and
background.
- Shape and structure (30 points) : Judges will evaluate the quality of the choosen shape and its structure.
- Nail Art Design (30 points) : Color choice, style and number of techniques used will be evaluated.
- Hairdress (20 points)
- Make up (20 points)
- Nail art technicality (20 points) : Realization and mastery of nail art techniques.
- Color harmony (10 points)
- Originality (20 points)

12. Image rights
- NAILARTFRANCE Association will be able to enjoy the right to use all the images and the videos of the event,
without any time limitation and without financial compensation neither for the competitors nor for the
models.
- BY THEIR REGISTRATION, COMPETITORS AND MODELS AGREE TO RENOUNCE THEIR IMAGE RIGHT.

13. Miscellanous
- No one may participate to this competition without having filled their contact details and paid the
registration fees.
- The organizer have the right to refuse all person who doesn’t respect this rule.
- The organizer can cancel or report the event, if there isn’t enough participant.
- The registered competitors will be refund in this case.

14. Author rights and copyright
The « Nail Art France International Competition » is the exclusive property of NAIILARTFRANCE COMPETITIONS
association. Logo or copyright reproductions are forbidden. Any total or partial reproduction of the rules, the
judgment criteria, the pictures or the logo of NAILARTFRANCE association are forbidden and will be prosecuted.

15. Personnal data
To participate the competitors must necessary precise some personal data about themselves (name,
vorname, email, …) in the registration form. Competitors Competitors acknoledge having been informed of
their rights relating to the data protection law n° 78-17 form the 6th of january 1978 (modified), in the
registration form and in the general data protection regulation adopted by the european parliament the 14th
of april 2016. These datas are recorded and saved in a computer file and are necessary for their participation
and for winners nominations. These informations are intended to the organizer who undertakes to process it
in compliance with the regulations mentioned above. In accordance with the data protection law from 6th of
january 1978 modified and to the general data protection ( RGPD) you have the right to be informed, to
access, to rectificate,to cancel your data, to limitate the traitment, to portable, to be oppoosed to commercial
prospection included profilage, to be opposite for a legitim reason, to introduce a request o the CNIL and to
define directives related to your data after your death, by contacting : NAILARTFRANCE by mail at
nailartfrancecompetition@free.fr or to write at : Association nailartfrance 7 rue du vercors 38400 saint
martin dheres, by precising the name of this competition, accompanied by a copie of your ID card with you
signature. But if a competitor will use its right of oposition or will ask for datas radiation before the end of

the vent, its participation will be automatically cancelled, because these datas are necessary to manage its
        participation.
