The upgrade to one of Australia’s best-known attractions includes six new children's rides, a thrill ride, a family roller coaster as well as a new Big Dipper, which will be the first inline seating launch roller coaster in the world. Tourism Products & Experiences Sydney, New South Wales Launched January 2021 INSERT Sydney Festival and BridgeClimb Sydney have unveiled the IMAGE Burrawa Climb, a unique immersion into Aboriginal stories and landmarks across Sydney Harbour. Climbers are guided by Aboriginal storytellers as they scale the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and discover a fresh perspective of the city below. Conceived and written by festival artistic director Wesley Enoch, Burrawa—a local Aboriginal word that means ‘above’ or ‘upwards’ - will allow climbers to hear fascinating stories and history from the world’s oldest living culture. Perth’s newest tourism attraction, Matagarup Zip+Climb is being opened in two stages; the bridge climb on January 26 and the zip-line not long after. Matagarup Zip+Climb General Manager Ryan Zaknich said the climb was open to anyone fit and over eight years old, meaning families could enjoy the experience together. Given the Matagarup Bridge was not originally built for people to climb, this is a true climb experience. Climbers will need to trek up 314 steps up a 45-degree angle and shimmy, slide and squeeze through tight spaces to reach the Sky View platform.
