Over 900 People Have Gotten Third COVID-19 Vaccine Dose Before FDA Recommendation Over 900 people have received a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recommended third doses as booster shots against the coronavirus. [Read Article] FDA Expected to Authorize COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Doses for Immunocompromised Patients The FDA is soon expected to recommend that individuals with compromised immune systems receive a booster shot of either the Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, which could begin as soon as this weekend. The poll, from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, found that at least 7 in 10 Americans believe doctors, nurses, and pharmacists will do the right thing for them and their families most of the time.
