HIGHLIGHTS FROM AGM 2018 The IIA Toronto Chapter's Officers and Governors are elected on the day of the Annual General Meeting for a specified term that commences immediately. This year, the 74th Annual General Meeting took place on May 29, 2018 at the Omni King Edward Hotel where the following individuals, who were duly nominated, were voted into the Chapter's Executive Team and Chapter's Board of Governors. VOLUNTEERING, NETWORKING & TEAM BUILDING EVENT FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2018 8:30 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. McQUESTEN URBAN FARM 785 Britannia Avenue, Hamilton, ON With the generous support of our Sponsors, listed below, the IIA Toronto Chapter is hosting a half-day volunteering event on the morning of September 14, 2018. This event is not only an great opportunity to kick-start your weekend early but also to make a positive impact in your community while spending time with your teams and networking with industry peers. Attendees will receive a free IIA T-shirt, a BBQ lunch will be provided at noon and there is no charge for attending. Volunteers are permitted to sign up and bring a guest. McQuesten Urban Farm is an innovative neighbourhood initiative that provides an opportunity for volunteers to come together and support the community in the struggle against food insecurity. Volunteers from the Toronto Chapter and Internal Audit Industry will be spending the morning at McQuesten Urban Farm to serve the community by harvesting vegetables. Volunteering efforts help ensure that everyone, despite their socio-economic status, have access to healthy and nutritious food. The costs of this event have been generously covered by our Sponsors, and this event is free for members of the Toronto Chapter and those in the Internal Audit industry.
