There are on-site social activities every evening and the courses focus on learning through fun, with different topics every week. Your child will be looked after 24/7 by IH London on-site staff and we’ll meet them at London Heathrow airport. Spring and summer courses available for all students and for group bookings. Ages 8-17. The British Council noted particular strengths in the areas of strategic and quality management, staff management, student administration, premises and facilities, learning resources, course design, care of students, leisure opportunities, and safeguarding under 18s. The most recent inspection by the British Council was in July 2019. 3

The fantastic facilities include tennis courts, heated swimming pool, high ropes adventure course, its own theatre, dance studio and a new music department. During the afternoon, students can choose from a number of sports and arts activities, with something for everyone. Sports can include tennis, football, basketball and swimming. Arts activities can include t-shirt painting, sketching, and performance arts. Study trips are also a big part of the course, with one full-day and one half-day trip to places of interest in the UK included every week. Example trips include: a full-day trip to London for a Shrek Adventure and a walking tour and Brighton including the Brighton i360, the famous Pier and the Lanes. Half-day trips include Winchester Planetarium and Windsor Castle. Students practise their English inside and outside of the classroom, for the best learning experience. In the evenings, Discover English students will have an activity programme with a mix of sports, art and crafts, and other activities such as quizzes and film night. It is an intensive course across English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. It is not all hard work though – English Plus classes are lively, interactive and fun. Students are encouraged to speak English at all times, and benefit from using the language with others their own age in different social situations. Students will have 15 hours of general English lessons with the rest of the school then six additional hours focused on improving their spoken English with an exam at the end of their course. Students also participate in sports, arts and crafts, and other activities. Aimed at practising English through fun and teamwork, the English Plus programme proves that it is possible to work hard and still have fun! There is one full-day and one half-day study trip included every week. The study trips are all tailored to the age and interests of our students, with effective systems in place to ensure their health and safety. H A L F - D AY T R I P S NEAR FRENSHAM › Winchester Planetarium › Windsor Castle F U L L- D AY LONDON On a full-day excursion to London students take D E S T I N AT I O N S a boat cruise along the Thames, from Greenwich to South Bank, followed by a royalty and politics FROM FRENSHAM walking tour. Discover English students go on a Shrek Adventure and STEM students visit the Science Museum. BRIGHTON Brighton is one of the most famous and popular seaside towns in England. Students will walk on Brighton Pier, ride on the i360 (a glass viewing pod that glides up gently to 450ft for stunning views) and visit the unique independent shops and cafés in The Lanes. STONEHENGE Stonehenge is one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe. Students can explore this English Heritage site and visit the exhibition centre featuring 250 ancient objects and a 5,500 year-old man. 24
