HHS HOCKEY: Heritage Hockey team will have tryouts November 15th and 16th at the South Suburban Sports
Complex. Monday, November 15th is from 4:10-6:20pm and Tuesday, November 16th is from 4:25-5:35pm. Please

FALL CHOIR MUSICAL: Heritage High School PRESENTS Little Shop of Horrors! LIVE & IN-PERSON!

HHS ATHLETIC NEWSLETTER: The newest issue of the Heritage Athletic Newsletter is now out! This issue
features our fall season league awards, accomplishments, and celebrates our senior fall athletes. Athletic Director
Jill Schrader also has a message for the community that talks about our new Winter Athletic Family Pass along
with our new "Eagle Nation" t-shirt. All winter schedules will be included in this newsletter as well. Check out the

SENIOR TRANSCRIPT INFO: The transcript request form is now online! If you need your High School
Transcript sent to a College or University, the NCAA or NAIA, or a Scholarship please complete the Google Doc.
The form can be found on the Heritage website. Go to About HHS, Counseling, hover over Post Grad and click on
Transcript Request form. Deadlines are quickly approaching. There is a $5 fee for each transcript to be sent to a
school that can be paid in Post Grad or Infinite Campus. If you have any questions, please come into Post Grad.
JUNIORS: It’s time to start thinking about what your plans are for after graduation. If you would like to make an
appointment, drop by the Post Grad Center or contact Ms. Lieb at Jlieb@lps.k12.co.us. If we don’t hear from you,
the Post Grad Center will be reaching out to set up an appointment during an off hour to help you start planning.
FASHION CLUB: Students, do you want a place where you can explore your creativity and learn sewing skills that
you'll need in daily life? Join the Fashion Club! We will learn hemming, mending clothes, etc. We are also hoping to
donate some clothing and handmade products to non profit organizations, so if you want to give back to the
community, please contact Ms. Key at jkey@lps.k12.co.us.
SENIORS: Don’t forget to register for the College Opportunity Fund (COF). The COF was created by the
Colorado Legislature and provides a stipend to Colorado residents who are attending Colorado colleges or
universities. The stipend pays a portion of your in-state tuition when you attend a participating college. The amount
this year is $92 per credit hour. Even if you are planning on attending college out of state, you still want to
register for the COF. For more information and to register go to https://cof.college-assist.org/
MAD WEEK VOTING: Eagle Outreach would like to announce that you are now able to vote on the top 3 causes
for Mad Week 2022. Use this LINK to vote or find it on the Heritage High School Website.
CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT: Want to get a jump start on college while still in high school? Concurrent
Enrollment (CE) might be for you! Registration for Concurrent Enrollment courses opens November 2nd and
students must complete the registration process by November 30th. Reach out to your counselor or Mrs. Abbott
with questions.

HHS BASEBALL FUNDRAISER: Come support your Heritage High School Baseball Team by picking up lunch or
dinner at the Littleton Garlic Knot on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 from 11:00am-9:00pm. 20% of all sales will go
back to the team. You must mention that you are supporting Heritage High School Baseball.

● Please join us for the next PTO meeting on Wednesday, November 17th, at 10:00 AM in the
community room across from the student center. You will hear from PTO leadership and committee
chairs as well as Principal Riendeau.
● Mark your calendar for Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, December 7th. This is a wonderful opportunity to
give where you live and support important HHS PTO programs and activities. If you can't wait until
December to show your love, our HHS PTO page is ready now to accept your donation. Thanks for

You can be a superhero for students when you give to us on Colorado Gives Day. Your gift helps students across the district gain access to emergency mental health counseling sessions, enhanced science tools that bring lessons to life, the opportunity to express themselves at the Poetry Slam, critical resources like food and internet connectivity and much, much more. Our Dollars in Action: Wiggling While They Work In a Pre-Kindergarten class at Littleton Preparatory Charter School, 5-year-old Claire wiggles while she works. Thanks to a grant funded by YOU, our generous donors, teacher Aimee Dierking purchased several sensory enhancement items for her classroom, including wiggle stools. The stools reduce students’ restlessness and fidgeting while stimulating thinking. Claire especially likes wiggling on them while she colors. Ms. Dierking also bought weighted blankets, wiggle cushions, a balance bike and gel pads, all to help her students enjoy school while they learn to focus, which is especially important given Covid restrictions.
Because of you, this was one of 67 grants awarded to LPS educators last year. We’re gearing up to give $100,000 in grants this month and can’t wait to share the inspiring ways LPS educators use the funds to teach LPS students in creative and engaging ways. Introducing Kelly James
In September, we welcomed Kelly James to our staff as the Development and Communication
Coordinator. She brings 20 years of experience with her in the fields of marketing and communications
and her sparkling personality fits perfectly into our fun culture.
In her new role, she will develop messaging, create marketing materials, oversee events, spearhead
new initiatives, including an updated website, and spread awareness about the work we do. Kelly is a
proud LPS parent with two sons in the district.
When she is not at the office, you’ll usually find her cheering for the Denver Nuggets, snuggled up with
a good book, volunteering at her church or spending time with her family.

Dierking también compró mantas pesadas, cojines, una bicicleta de equilibrio y almohadillas de gel, todo para ayudar a sus estudiantes a disfrutar de la escuela mientras aprenden a concentrarse, lo cual es especialmente importante dadas las restricciones de Covid.
Gracias a usted, esta fue una de las 67 que se otorgaron fondos a los educadores de LPS el año pasado.
Nos estamos preparando para otorgar $100,000 en subvenciones este mes y estamos ansiosos por
compartir las formas inspiradoras en que los educadores de LPS usan los fondos para enseñar a los
estudiantes de LPS de maneras creativas y atractivas.

En septiembre, le dimos la bienvenida a Kelly James a nuestro personal como Coordinadora de Desarrollo y
Comunicación. Aporta 20 años de experiencia en los campos del marketing y comunicaciones y su personalidad
brillante encaja perfectamente en nuestra cultura divertida.
En su nuevo cargo, desarrollará mensajería, creará materiales de marketing, supervisará eventos,
encabezará nuevas iniciativas, incluido un sitio web actualizado, y difundirá el
conocimiento sobre el trabajo que hacemos. Kelly es una madre orgullosa de
LPS con dos hijos en el distrito.
Cuando no está en la oficina, la encontrará animando a los Denver Nuggets,
