14 Technology #1: Air-Source Heat Pumps for Heating/Cooling Ductless “Mini-Splits” Central Ducted Systems Single Zone Multi Zone
15 Technology #2: Heat-Pump (hybrid) Hot Water Heaters
16 You don’t need to do everything at once It doesn’t have to be a “do it all now” project • Get started with a single mini split with one or more heads. • Add a heat pump to a large open area of your home and see how it affects your comfort in this and other adjacent rooms. • Start with a heat pump hot water heater. • Increase coverage of your system as you get more comfortable with the technology. Remember, the more heating/cooling you do with heat pumps, the more important it is to improve your insulation, allowing use of less electricity and a much smaller heat pump system.
