NON-PROFIT Org. U.S. Postage PAID Worth, IL Permit No. 116 ECRWSS POSTAL CUSTOMER A Message From the Friends of the Library Happy New Year! Thank you to all those who donated shoes. We kept 4 big bags of shoes from going into the landfill, and on the feet of those in need. We also want to thank Cook County Commissioner Donna Miller, and her staff, for helping set up our shredding event. We also appreciate all the hard work of the officers at the event. It was great to help so many patrons. We enjoyed participating in the Trunk or Treat and Holly All Day, and hope the kids enjoyed our treats. We are always looking for new friends and new ideas, so please think about joining us or coming to a meeting. Follow our bulletin board in the cafe area for any Friends news. Sadly, the Friends of the Library lost one of their founding members, and longtime treasurer Dick Whitman. He was a Friend to everyone he met, and will be greatly missed. We are proud to purchase a brick in his honor. . The Glenwood-Lynwood Public Library District is subject to the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
