At the time, Jason was commuting from Butte to Bozeman for work. The party was scheduled for 6 p.m. Jason called BriAnna around 5:45 p.m. and said he was going to be late. Jason arrived at the party around 6:30 p.m. Shortly after his arrival some- one announced it was time to sing ‘Happy Birthday.’ We all gathered around and began to sing to Jason. Midway through the song, Jason yelled “Wait, wait! I have something I want to say.” BriAnna was confused looking at Jason. Jason then got down on one knee and told BriAnna how much he loved her and asked her to marry him. How did Jason decide on the ring? BriAnna had been giving Jason several hints prior to the proposal of what style ring she wanted. When Jason decided he wanted to pro- pose he asked for his mother, Elaine’s help at the jewelry store. Jason and Elaine picked out a ring at Keenan Jewelers that they knew fit BriAnna’s style the best.
