22km GOlD rUSH 11 km THANKS TRAIL RUN Events are funny things. They pop up. And down. Here, gone. That was fun. Move on. And then they get smashed by COVID-19. But behind the scenes to provide that 2-4 hours of fun and social trail running frivolity there are months of work behind the scenes to make sure the day rolls smoothly, you guys are as safe as possible, there’s lollies on the table and water in the tubs, there’s a course to run, a permit organised and a bunch of politics negotiated. And all of that is just by the core team. Then there’s all those who generously offer their time to help out, for kicks: the volunteers. And it is to them the biggest thanks goes. We can’t name everyone here, but THANK YOU. Without you guys out there, course clearing, marking fore running, sweeping, marshaling, manning aid stations, well...it’d just be a shit, unsafe event, wouldn’t it?! VOLUNTEERS ROCK! THANKS to our primary supporters: Jubilee Holiday Park, Sailors Falls Estate Winery, Altra, Nuun, Goodr, Ultimate Direction, Melton City Runners, Goldfields Trail Runners. DOUBLE HELPING OF THANKS to Melton City Runners who are absolute legends helping mark the course and man aid station (as well as run!). And of course to the core event team and movers and shakers who help get the event humming: Simon Madden, Richelle Olsen, Andy Payne, Dale Chircop, Warren Maynard, Nicole Vaughn, and the Runner Chats guys, Pete and Nath. AND OF COURSE THAN YOU TO YOU - the runners - for coming, and enjoying the course. We appreciate that the changed date pushed things around a bit, and we appreciate you still rocking up anyway! We hope you had a cracker day out there! CHEERS! - Julian, Bri, Simon, Richelle, Nicole, Andy and Chris.
