God Invites Us Into His Praise *Call to Worship | from Psalm 145 10 13 Leader All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you! All We declare the glory of your kingdom and we tell of your power! We make known to all people your mighty deeds and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Leader Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. *Prayer of Invocation

God Calls Us To Confession Call To Confession | Psalm 145 17 18 The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. Song of Confession | Have Mercy Sandra McCracken and Thad Cockrell | CCLI#7041358
Corporate Confession of Sin | from Colossians 3 3 17 Leader You who are raised with Christ are to seek the things that are above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. All We confess that our minds too often are on things of this world and not things above. Leader As God’s heavenly people, you are to put to death what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. You are to put away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, lying and obscene talk from your mouth. On account of these the wrath of God is coming. All We confess that we struggle to put these things away. Leader Confess silently to the God who hears. Silent confession] Leader As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and forgive each other, as the Lord has forgiven you. All Above all these, may the Lord give us grace to put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Leader Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. All As his people, may we do everything in his name, to his glory! God Forgives Us In Christ *Word of Assurance | from Philippians 3 9, 20 21 Leader When you believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, you have a righteousness not of your own that comes from the Law, but that which comes through faith in Christ and his completed work on the cross. All We believe! Leader Through faith in Jesus Christ, your citizenship now is in heaven. He will come and transform our lowly bodies to be like his glorious body. All We await the Savior! Leader If you have confessed your sins in Jesus’ name, you are forgiven and are considered as sons and daughters of the living God. All Yes and Amen!
*Song of Assurance | I Will Glory in My Redeemer Steve and Vikki cook | CCLI# 3337435
God Brings Us Into His Covenant Leader Hear the words of our Lord Jesus Christ: Matthew 28 18 20 “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Leader What is Baptism? Westminster Shorter Catechism #94 All Baptism is a sacrament in which the washing with water, in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, does signify and seal our grafting into Christ, and receiving of the benefits of the covenant of grace, and our engagement to be the Lord’s. The Baptism of Asa Cooper Harland Parent’s Vows: 1. Do you acknowledge Asa’s need of the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ and the renewing grace of the Holy Spirit? 2. Do you claim God’s covenant promises on his behalf, and do you look in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ for his salvation, as you do for your own? 3. Do you now unreservedly commit Asa to God, and promise, in humble reliance upon divine grace, that you will endeavor to set before him a godly example, that you will pray with and for him, that you will teach him the doctrines of our holy religion, and that you will strive, by all the means of God’s appointment, to bring him up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord? Congregation’s Vows: Leader Our God made a covenant with Abraham, the father of all who believe, saying, “I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.” All Peter preached the gospel to the church saying, “The promise is for you and your children.” Leader Do you, the members of Cornerstone Church, receive Asa Cooper Harland into this church as one whom God has called his own according to the covenant? And do you now promise to surround him with Christian love, to pray for him and to set an example of genuine faith and virtue? All We do, for whoever welcomes this child in Christ’s name, welcomes him. And whoever welcomes Christ, welcomes the one who sent him.

God Feeds Us *Reading of God’s Holy Word | Lynn Cutsforth Old Testament Reading & Sermon Passage | Psalm 87 1 On the holy mount stands the city he founded; 2 the Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. 3 Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. 4 Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush— “This one was born there,” they say. 5 And of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”; for the Most High himself will establish her. 6 The Lord records as he registers the peoples, “This one was born there.” 7 Singers and dancers alike say, “All my springs are in you.” New Testament Reading | John 3 5 8 5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Leader: This is the Word of the Lord All: Thanks be to God
